Nick Warren, an absolute legend in the dance music industry and one of the most selfless artists in the scene. Constantly bringing people under his wing, supporting & creating music across multiple genres and always showing casing new artists on his record label co-founded with Petra Ni, The Soundgarden. 

You can tell when Nick Warren is on the decks. The music emanating from the DJ booth is that perfect club mix of driving percussion and soaring musicality, bursting out of the speakers, soaking everyone in melody, drenching them in sound. To this day, Warren remains at the forefront of club culture: he packs clubs and arenas worldwide from London to Buenos Aires to Burning Man, transfixing dancefloors with his distinctively forward blend of credible progressive sounds, deeper tunes, atmospheric layers and any other grooves Warren deems appropriate for his turntable. Nick Warren became one of the first so-called "superstar DJs" in the mid-to-late '90s, holding down a high-profile residency at Cream in England, touring around the world, and appearing on several DJ mix albums before they became commonplace. 

Then, through a combination of providing acclaimed mixes for Mixmag, DMC, and the Global Underground series, and releasing a string of club-smashing solo singles, Warren found himself catapulted into the electronic big leagues; and, by continuing to release acclaimed albums, singles, and remixes with his Way Out West partner-in-crime, Jody Wisternoff, he firmly established himself as a truly multi-faceted producer of top-quality dance music.

 Here is the recording of my very first sunrise set at Burning Man 2018 in the Black Rock Desert. I started playing around 5:45 am, the lights and lasers were still glowing in the cold darkness of the night..as the songs were passing by, the sky turned blue and the horizon warmer. Burners were all facing the deep playa, waiting for the sun to appear. It was an honour to soundtrack this moment and share music in such a magical place. No matter how hard I try, words can barely describe the energy and emotions felt in that instant... I hope music can express it better. 

I'd like to thank Maxa Camp & The Gardens of Babylon for inviting me to play on this beautiful Xaman Art Car...the mystical blue deer.   I’m very grateful to have shared this moment with so many incredible souls, old and new friends.

@gabrhome dropped into the studios for a live guest showcase ahead of his upcoming event w/ Everything Will Be Ok at Shoreditch Platform.

Gab Rhome has amassed quite the armada of label credits in only 2 years : All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep, Kindisch, Get Physical and Sasha’s Last night on Earth to name a few. He began his musical journey at an early age playing multiple instruments while being shaped by jazz music, and it only took a few years before making a transition towards the rhythms of dance music.

The Montreal-born musician currently focuses on dreamy and hypnotic electronic music, best suited for warm bubble-baths. His delicate melodies resonate best when coupled with his organic percussions, similar to the relationship between a proper bottle of wine and some classy tenderloin. His melodic tech-house productions have brought him on journeys across the globe where a similar voyage is built during his dj sets.

I always found it challenging to record a studio podcast: my analytical mind is trying to calculate every move, evaluate each transition & criticize the selection. I have time, music & equipment at my disposal, but one key element is missing to really tell a story: humans.

I encountered that problem last weekend. Although I was playing music I enjoy, I felt that my technically structured mix was too stiff and impersonal. 

____

Then, some of my favourite humans turned up at the studio. As Ashley, Apolline, Axel & Robin entered the room, the studio was suddenly filled with a great energy & I felt like pressing the rec button again, just for fun - this is when the first minutes of  S y m b i o s e  were captured.

I feel this studio mix is an authentic representation of the energy levels I like to navigate through during a longer set. It features some of my favourite tracks in a nod to the past but also has a touch of the future; new sounds that are moving me forward & some of my new compositions.

I’m happy to share this mix as I’m taking off for Argentina, what marks my first adventure of the decade. This music session brought me clarity, presence & joy! I hope you'll resonate with it.

From the founder DJ Shaman "Inara means; “heaven sent” or “Ray of light” in Arabic. This symbolizes the feelings I believe we all feel when we listened to house & techno for the first time; either at an event or when finding new music to listen to.

This is what Inara is all about - really digging deep into those feelings and spreading the love and joy that comes along with the music and the expansion of a community to bring people together."

For this one we decided to go deep and embrace the solitude of sound to build upon layers of noise to raise Inara into a new level.
