In an attempt to explore this feeling, I went on a bit of a self-reset and a touch of reinvention. This involved changing my usual routines and adopting some old-school methods, such as sampling beats and instruments from vintage vinyl records, blending them with my current sound. The album is intended to feel personal and intimate for my listeners. I aimed to create a moment of intimacy, as if they are listening to the songs alongside me while on their way home."

The 14-track release will be available through Solis Records, Alex O'Rion's newly established record label, launched in 2023.

Kamilo Sanclemente returns with a fully-fledged 4-track EP. Joining him are three of his Colombian countrymen to deliver one of the more dynamic EPs we've released to date.

Mauro Aguirre joins Kamilo on 'Essence', a driving workout that makes its intentions clear from the opening beat. Simplicity is key here: the deep two-finger bass underlines an analogue Giorgio Moroder-style synth carrying determined indie dance drums. The intensity is undeniable. But once the clouds clear in the breakdown, an absolute blissful melody appears like a rainbow to clear the senses. Approach with caution; this is a dancefloor bomb.

Marking a debut outing on the Crosstown Rebels sub-label, the pair unveil their two-track EP promising an exploration of their musical mastery, set for release on 12th April 2024.

New York-based atish is an artist known for communicating the highs and lows of life through his diverse soundscapes, spanning deep house, Romanian minimal, artful techno, and emotive progressive house on esteemed labels such as Anjunadeep, Stil Vor Talent, and Manjumasi, which he co-founded with Mark Slee. Here he joins forces with fellow New Yorker Nhii, recognised for his bottomless journey of musical growth with no boundaries, exploring deep sounds and electronic elements on labels like Sol Selectas and One Tribe Records. Together they combine their creative visions for the first time with a compelling two-track collaboration on Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels sub-label, Rebellion, offering a rich sonic tapestry of beats with ‘Shola’.

“I wear my inspirations and playfulness brightly on my sleeve with the Shola EP. Nhii and I created 'Shola,' referencing my South Asian roots with an obscure 1983 Hindi/Urdu sample, while the solo tune '2007' has synth textures nodding to one of my most formative years as a dance music enthusiast, the year I moved to San Francisco" - atish

The title track, ‘Shola,’ evolves through layers of off-kilter electronics and rattling, crisp percussion enriched by enchanting female vocals that infuse the overall arrangement with a sense of intrigue and excitement. To close, atish weaves warping sonics and mind-bending elements in ‘2007’, guiding listeners through a mesmerising exploration of propulsive synth patterns that intensify throughout.

NYC-based producer and DJ Lauren Ritter (All Day I Dream, ReSolute, Rift Vision) returns to her roots with “Antigone // Sarus”, a new EP featuring two emotive, nostalgic, and melodic original compositions, “Antigone” and “Sarus,” that are sure to please fans of her All Day Dream 2015 debut Lark EP and her recent Rift Vision output alike. “Antigone” is an ever-evolving, bubbling, and driving number that showcases her classical music training and sensibilities, while “Sarus” is an airy, serene, glittering, and uplifting complimentary composition. Lauren invites friends Powel (DE – All Day I Dream) and Zone+ (BH – All Day I Dream / Satya / Mixcult) to provide their takes on both tracks, who each weave in dynamic grooves and vocal elements in their signature styles to underscore Ritter’s melodic motifs.

Lauren Ritter unveiled her imprint Rift Vision in 2020 during lockdown and has since released three emotive EPs encompassing her own solo compositions, collaborative works with Oakland-based poet Tenesha The Wordsmith (On The Corner), and remixes by lauded talent such as Octo Octa, Lawrence, Jenifa Mayanja, and Rrao. Stay-at-home DJ no more, Ritter has been back DJing in full force, with appearances incl the Zamna festival NYC, Do Not Sit Miami, Shameless Seattle, Public Records NYC. 2024 kicked off with a long-awaited return to Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream label, with Ritter being featured in their winter compilation. This year will include more releases from Lauren, including another EP entitled Blue Nine on Rift Vision in November.
