Jayson Fenx, Ft.Strömer Music - Don't Let Me Down (VieL Remix) [Batavia Records]

With its first release, Eyedyllic Music lays some cement which reveals some of the label’s core blueprint elements. The label has been formed by co-partners Mik Santoro and Kev Obrien, with an aim toward releasing what they consider to be “beautiful, authentic and unpretentious electronic music”, with no genre barriers.
Obrien himself steps up to kick things off in suitable fashion with “So Far Away'. His first single since 2011, Obrien produced it in collaboration with the revered Scottish vocalist, Ian Whitelaw (notably known for his many collaborations with deep house legend, Phonique)
So Far Away indubitably lives up to the aforementioned Eyedyllic esthetique. The track’s moody, key-laden groove lays a perfect foundation for an extraordinary vocal and lyrical performance from Ian Whitelaw, who sings a heartfelt song about his own experience; one which coincidentally matched up with a very similar experience Obrien had been going through when he approached Whitelaw about doing a collaboration, last winter. 
On remix duties, the multi-talented Tone of Arc turns in a rendition that defies all genre boundaries and stands in a world of its own. It's pounding kick makes way to luscious strings, and the mix eventually leads to a funkadelic climax of epic proportions.

This is it - our second vinyl release is our first original artist EP coming from the south african and german duo LADS. After well recognized releases on Guy J's Lost & Found as well as several Rebellion der Träumer releases, the guys return to  Nie Wieder Schlafen, to deliver an incredible diverse 5-tracker package, that found its way to wax. "Bamboo" is making its release on Vinyl first, with a delayed release on digital in may.

Lucas Buchta and Gary Pilz have been profound producers for a good chunk of the last decade. Throughout the years, their individual forces intertwined into a germafrican vision. Combining Luc's love for a detailed sound and Gary's exceptional sound design, their project "LADS" was born. The German & South African duo has seen their first releases dropped in 2017, including a debut remix on Nie Wieder Schlafen that climbed up various Spotify playlists and marked the start of continuous collaboration between the label and artists. Three years later, the team returns for an ambitious original release, pressed on black gold.

The 5-tracker EP "Bamboo" explores a broad array of sounds, from the orientalic "Cedar", including Gary's own beautiful vocals to the textured "Tin Pan Alley", including a special piano recording from Luc. Ambient atmospheres and funky house vibes with "EDL" and main title track "Bamboo" deliver the front and backend of the release, offering a diverse palette with various energy levels. The digital release includes the exclusive "Eis", which is ironically melting dancefloors with a powerful dance base, fueled with emotive strings and atmospheres. The EP underlines the duo's incredible talent and showcases the potential of their capabilities. A next step for their project, also available on black gold.

"Bamboo" also marks our second Vinyl pressing and we are incredibly excited to be able to deliver another physical release. An enthusiastic next step, that further strengthens the bond between the artists and the label. We couldn't be happier to finally deliver the results, the team has worked on.
