Three groove grandmasters take us on a ride down the backroads of the Odyssey that started recently with the same-named debut album of Holly North. Following their very own approach, each of them opens an entirely new chapter of this epic piece of dance music. Underher discovered a veritable source of beauty in the depths of the melancholy that resonates from the vocal of Far Away and channels it into his melodic dance sound. Arutani makes the title Epilogue sound like a sunrise watched from the edge of a wood, with wafting layers of morning mist and glistening pearls of dew in your eyes and the solid boom of an open air sound system in your back. Finally, Gome's Late Summer remix is heavily infused with the subtropical vibes of a certain Atlantic island, its playful funkiness and remarkably driving lounginess reminding us that it's time to kick off our flip flops at the poolside and to finally grab a first cocktail.

Schtu, Johanson - Running From You

French superstars Chambord (@wearechambord)  join The Gardens Of Babylon with an exciting EP ‘Distant Time’. Remix support comes from Joep Mencke (@joep-mencke) and German Brigante (@german-brigante).

Paris based duo, Chambord have patiently raised their game over the last 3 years with releases on high profile labels such as Sol Selectas and Kindisch, cementing their growth with club and festival sets alongside the likes of Jamie Jones, Blond:ish and Acid Pauli. This release showcases the warm, energetic sound that is sound tracking dancefloors across the globe.

Opening with two original tracks, first up ‘Distant Time’ is a deep, melodic cut with rubbery bass, shuffling percussion and an epic vocal performance the echoes around your head. Crescendoing arps and warm keys playfully melt as emotional piano chords take the lead in the main break. ‘Red Moon’ opens to a tribal bass and sparse percussion. Growing organically, the piano again adds oodles of emotion as the melancholy plays out in real time.

On remix duties TGOB label mate, Joep Mencke returns with a haunting reimagination of ‘Distant Time’ that draws on the raw emotion of the original turning it into a deep, warm early floors wonderland. For his remix of ‘Distant Time’ Sol Selectas and Dirtybird regular, German Brigante constructs a filthy, saw-toothed analogue remix that the mighty Vangelis would be proud of!

Odagled's ability to effortlessly manoeuvre and experiment across the spectrum of electronic music has never been more evident. Whether producing melodic house under his own name or under his Frilerd alias, making his first forays into the electronic world with his first releases in 2015, it was his singles "Queen" in 2017 that made the scene sit up and take notice. Odagled began to hone his production skills with releases on Brian Cid's Endagered label and legendary Ten Walls' Runemark. While remixing Eleonora, he released for labels such as Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas and has even been
remixed by the likes of Nico Morano, Francesco Chiocci, Monikaze and even Ten Walls, to name but a few.
Odagled has now found a home releasing on the labels he has always wanted for himself. It is now the realisation of a journey he has been preparing for the last few years.
His connection to nature and the hours behind the studio go back a long way, he finds himself in a place where he is totally happy musically. Looking ahead to the rest of the year, he will be releasing landmark albums like Odagled & Frilerd which he has been working on for some time.

Katermukke will serve up a stunning new album from Miyagi this fall. Good Night Planet is a fully formed world of deep house and techno with guests such as Allies For Everyone and Haptic adding further colour.

DJ and producer Miyagi has developed his very own sound during recent years. He mixes up deep house, tech house and techno as a producer and a DJ and always brings hypnotic and melodic atmospheres. His productions have come on labels like Einmusika, Katermukke, Do Not Sit and Flying Circus while he has DJed everywhere from Chicago to Berlin to London. Miyagi also hosts the WEIRD events in Hamburg, which are renowned among the most popular local events, and now he goes to the next level with this new album.

Hope opens up in dramatic fashion with boarding synths and rising tension before Stay establishes a deep and rolling, dubbed out house groove to sink you in. Runaway is a spine tingling tune with an angelic female vocal above the meaningful chords and Where We're Going (Album Mix) explores the cosmos with a wave of pulling drums and widescreen pads.

Wanderer is another tender and melodic deep house roller, Together We Lose Control pieces up the pace with a more stiff tech house beat but still plenty of deft chord work and Aphorism feat. Haptic is awash with sci-fi motifs and gorgeously rippling keys. The likes of the nimble and uplifting Lost, Good Night Planet and Sleeping On Jupiter feat. Eleonora takes you further into the stars with their lush grooves and closer Hello Darkness feat. Shawni layers up twinkling harmonies, brooding bass and a soulful vocal into a truly escapist house track.

This is an adventurous album that invites you far into Miyagi's unique musical world.

'After a wide range of beautiful autumn releases, Heinz Music is now ready to introduce to you a 4-track EP by the Danish artist duo The Hunts and their close friend Jakob de Wittig. Hailing from Copenhagen, these two found each other through their love for music, a partnership that has lead to many beautiful dance floor moments, and now also four fantastic tracks ready to set sail along a magnificent remix by the label boss himself, Marcus Meinhardt. 

“Too Weird Not To Dance” is the title track. A driving groove immediately catches your attention leading you towards the weird world of synths and the dark vocals. Escalating sounds twist and twirl, building up massive momentum while the heavy, purring bassline hits right where it should.

Secondly, “Ride It” picks up the pace. Elegant drum work keeps the flow of the groove funky and catchy, and when the synth and whispering vocals enter the playground you know you are in for a ride. “Pastor Sovs” builds on quirky synths and a theatric vocal element that underlines the positive atmosphere of the track. On point drums build a solid base, but it is all about the fun in this one.

“Spank For A Dime” is an explosion of energy. It's driving and powerful bassline leads the way, while raw vocals and a savage synth is like a trip down the rabbit hole. There is just no knowing where this night is going to end. 

Marcus Meinhardt rounds up the EP with his take on “Too weird not to dance”. In a masterful showcase of molding original elements and making them your own, Meinhardt does what he does best. An enchanting and majestic tune thrills you with the longing synths and soft percussions, leading you into a fierce drop. It is a fury of emotions taking the lead, sending your soul straight into the night.
