Are you still finding dust and gifts in your DJ luggage? For all of us at Happy Camper Records, this was another inspirational rollercoaster on the Playa. We’ve connected with so many friends, old and new. We’ve soaked up enough positive energy and new ideas to face the autumn cold.

Let this VA compilation serve as a soundtrack to your decompression. Feel the afterburn warming your soul and fueling your creativity. These are the tracks that defined our Burning Man – a wider palette of sounds than you may have heard from us in the past. We wanted to offer a platform to a variety of promising newcomers.

These are the tracks we’ve been supporting all year. All of them have been amplifying dance floors & deserts in their own unique way. Sounds from The Netherlands, Berlin, Austria, Athens, Mexico City, Dubai, Cape Town, Paris, New York and Copenhagen. Friends we’ve met on our travels, and invited into our family. Here is a fact: Peacocks live in dense, forested areas where they roost in trees and gather together in flocks called “parties.” They seduce with their dance and their distinctive calling voices. In allusion to the mysterious bird, Klassified Records is corresponding to the peacock’s livelihood and is back with a second volume of The Feathers’ Eyes compilation.

This brotherly pair from NYC pair have two decades of experience behind them and merge house, techno and natural vocals into moving tracks that have taken them to gigs everywhere from Burning Man’s Robot Heart to Bedouin’s Saga and labels like Nazca and Anjunadeep. 

Here they open the EP with Mercury in Reverse, a blissed out and beautiful track with angelic chords and soft wavy grooves that cast a real spell. Tremble Road is then a little more driven, with rumbling bass and a darker mood to the grooves as exotic sounding instruments dangling up top and occupy your mind. 

The Slide then finishes things off with seven dreamy and deep minutes of lush deep vibes with organic shakers and gentle synth lines that really get you in a daze and keep you there.

This is a richly detailed EP full of timeless house that really moves you."

The label follows a December premiere by welcoming another pair of artists. Juan recently launched a new project to express his current state of mind. As Roze (FR), the Frenchman now presents “Borokhe.” Remixing its B-side, Zakir also makes a remarkable debut. His interpretation of “Eisor” seamlessly blends rich beats, acidic arps and dusty flutes.
