The place where social media lose reach and the reverb sounds so nice. You‘ll find him in his studio: a big mess that fosters his DIY production style. His musical interest starts when genres blend and punk is an approach. Wave, Triphop, Acid, Kosmische Musik. No cliches, blurred lines only.

Tankwart, also known as Bik, is a DJ, producer, and musician from Zurich. He is part of the band called Dâdalus & Bikarus and finds creative synergy with the label subject to restrictions discs. As an individual and part-time promoter Tankwart aims to unite diverse musical scenes in Zurich, fostering a bottom-up inspired local music community.

LIO Press mix #11 ~ by Tankwart · 'Résonnements continues'

Following on from a magic instalment of Braille Satellite festival which took place at Mushroom Manor, deep in the Lithuanian woods, André Pahl, Elina Tapio and Hannah Pezzack joined forces for a b2b2b train at Radio Vilnius. Opening with an ode to Brion Gysin by Genesis P-Orridge, this mix features all the genres closest to our hearts: cosmic clown music, gnocchi rock, weasel-inspired melodies, downtempo, gravelly monologues from middle-aged Brits, choral trance and tripped-out rhythmics.

Hi everyone and welcome to the 10th episode of The Best Effort Show on Skylab Radio. Ten is an easy number to multiply - just try it! Big thank you to Skylab for being gracious hosts - Happy 1st Birthday.

The Best Effort Show - Episode Ten

Earlier this year a new project emerged from Amsterdam made up of a pair of familiar producers operating beneath a new guise. Darcey Electronics is made up of Darling and Tracey, two stellar musicians in their own right who have each released music in various capacities over many years. Collectively they have released music on the likes of Aus, Safe Trip, Dial, Intergraded, Off Minor and Voyage Direct.

They both live and breathe music and operate amidst a collective of inspiring Amsterdam producers who have established their own take on dance and electronic music - channeling influences from house, techno, ambient and IDM. It is the latter two genres which perhaps best informed the pairs first release under the collaborative moniker. Released on Pleasant Life earlier in 2020 the EP was well received and widely supported, showcasing abstract experimentation and playful melodic flurries which based upon the set below seems to be a hallmark of their taste and style.
