Hailing from the pulsating heart of the Bristol underground music scene, with a prolific journey through the industry staring in 2016, LOMA boasts an impressive discography, including releases on renowned labels such as Dispatch Recordings, Off-Licence Records, Drippy boiii and Something System. These collaborations have solidified LOMA's reputation as an artist who not only embraces the dark and atmospheric aspects of drum & bass but also constantly experiments with new sounds and production techniques to push his drum and bass to unexplored territories.

LOMA's signature sound can be described as a fusion of hypnotic atmospheres, ethereal synths, and carefully curated vocal elements. His music incorporates influences from various musical styles while preserving the core essence of drum & bass. LOMA's tracks possess an uncanny ability to strike a perfect balance between sonic intensity and emotional depth.

“Sakura” sets the tone with hauntingly beautiful melodies juxtaposed against gritty basslines, creating an otherworldly fusion of light and shadow showcasing a masterful command of dark, ambient, and atmospheric landscapes. In Loma’s words: ”Sakura was inspired by a few tracks I heard on Samurai Music. I wanted to capture how the tracks made me feel the first time I heard them. I love reverb and space and I think I’ve captured that in Sakura”.

On the flip side, “The Back Rooms” features precision-engineered percussion and evocative synths converging to construct an atmospheric opus that is both foreboding and magnetic. The track was the result of LOMA’s further experimentation with breaks and reverb. Eerie synths and intricate percussion build an atmosphere that is both foreboding and irresistible, inviting you to explore the uncharted territories of sound.

Gemini is now showing off his diverse productions skills & breaking new ground within the realms of Drum & Bass.

Two absolute beasts here on this exciting double A side - both leaning towards a more ‘Trance & Bass’ sound, but with a deep, refined edge, and uncompromising dancefloor power.

Without you is a beautiful, refreshing, trancey DnB roller. Deadmau5 vibes and an almost 4/4 break keep things pushing on with a progressive synth chord pattern and subtle, building pads. Perfect transition track, great in the mix - but with a breakdown that really makes the crowd take notice & progressively builds them up again to a mighty crescendo.

With previous outings on E-Motion and Influenza - plus a major co-lab with fellow Gloucester D&B champ Callide and heavy championship by John B both live and in his weekly podcasts - Virtue has set a solid foundation for a long-lasting career in beats… And he’s taking it next level right here. 

We kick off with ‘Blow My Mind’. Opening with a misty, filtered key refrain, it grabs attention instantly. Soaked in emotion-laden chords, each new element adds more majestic texture before an arresting vocal surges into the mix and leads into one of the most crisp drops we’ve heard in a long time. Nodding referentially to the mid-to-late noughties golden era, there’s a loose, breathy lushness to the fusion, allowing each element to sit comfortably and naturally in the mix. ‘Think Of You’ follows. Igniting with a slightly harder edge, a hooky synth line takes the lead before windy pads, dynamic breakbeats and a well-executed vocal loop fire up the groove. Before we know it we’re deep into that purring, rolling summer bass sound, swimming in a sea of blissed out sonics that manage to sooth and slap in equal measure. Complete with a dramatic half tempo breakdown which strips the tracks back to its bare elements before rebuilding again, it’s yet another surefire case for a sweet summer showdown.
