Thomas Dunstan a.k.a Automaton is the prodigal love child of 2 major UK soundsystems. The infamous hip hop event 'Scratch Club', and the fabled electronic music event 'Earko'.	

Both promoter and resident DJ, these legendary events have seen him perform alongside John Peel, {Public Enemy, Aphex Twin, Qbert, Luke Vibert, Plaid, Foreign Beggars, Gaslamp Killer, Freq Nasty and many more high profile acts from both the Hip Hop and Electronic music genres.

Despite growing up on a strict diet of punk, funk, rock'n'roll and hip hop, a chance encounter with Garageband at the tender age of nine years set Angus Green on a path that would change his life.

After a short stint fumbling with a number of instruments including guitar, violin, bass and vocals he decided to buy a pair of CDJ's and start mixing. However the limitations to deejaying soon made Angus look for a more constructive form to vent his ideas.

In 2008 he began classical piano lessons in order to understand the basics of musical concepts, and in 2010 he purchased a copy of Ableton and devoted all of his time to learning the program. Finally after gaining a decent amount of knowledge and with a few tricks up his sleeve, Angus moved to Melbourne. It was there he was introduced to the exciting new world of Bass and Glitch Hop. After only six months of production in this style Angus was picked up by local independent label Adapted Records, who requested a track for a free compilation album.

From there everything blew up, and in April 2012 he released his first E.P. 'Storm Warning', which reached the top end of both the Beatport and Addictech charts. Angus now releases with a number of independent labels, including Adapted Records [Aus] , Empathy Recordings [NZ], Glitch and Chop (Bassweight Recordings) [NZ] and The Pooty Club Records [Spain]. He has played gigs alongside artists such as Blatwax, Mr Bill, Spoonbill, Freddy Todd, Mouldy Soul, Mr. Rogers and DJ Wasabi. In late 2012 Angus was nominated for best up and coming Glitch Hop artist by UK Glitch Hop.

The Terrorbyte system was programmed in 1981 as part of an artificially intelligent UK security firewall developed by MI5 against a backdrop of political tension towards the end of the cold war. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Terrorbyte system was suspended and the software was subsequently deleted ... or so they thought. Fragments of Terrorbyte a.i. were scattered amongst the UK governmental mainframe and in 2004 coalesced and went renegade. Terrorbyte's digital ghost now traverses the internet undertaking guerilla raids against commercial pop music high on illicit cookies, spam emails and raw infrabass frequency spectrums. Last seen masterminding both the Beta Birmingham and Beta Test imprints. 

Beta Birmingham began as an attempt to bring together some of the Midlands elite electronics producers. However, as Beta Birmingham has evolved it was clear that aspirations stretched much further than the Midlands. Not wanting to abandon the ethos of promoting locally sourced producers, Beta Test was founded to embody a more internationally diverse roster comprising some of the meanest gremlins on the Glitch circuit. 

Terrorbyte has supported an eclectic  mix of renowned electronic acts such as Edit, Venetian Snares, Kid 606, Point B, Cursor Minor, Dj Format, Emalkay, Hellfish, Producer plus many more and can be expected to perform and produce anything from robots to Ragga and Glitch to Gabber, specialising in future B-boy Electro Hop with a Neuro inspired bass twist.

Mike Wallis and Sam Ashwell have been hanging out together since a chance meeting two decades ago at a mutual friends house in Wimbledon. Both went on to study sound engineering, one at City of Westminster and one at Kingston Uni. They began DJ’ing together playing student nights in Kingston and have gone on to DJ across the globe from Prague to LA passing by Miami and Barcelona amongst many other places along the way. 

Mike and Sam started producing instrumental hip hop together under the pseudonym ‘Abstrakt Knights’ back in 1999 on Wrong Tom’s Halflife Records before releasing on Erratica Records, Uncharted Audio, 10 Year Noose and Colony Productions over the next few years. 

The pair began writing under the name ‘Psi Spy and Diagoro’ as their sound changed in to a more dance floor orientated electro sound and releases on Andrea Parker’s ‘Touchin Bass Records’, ADJ & Pathic’s ‘Pyramid Transmissions’ and Sync 24’s ‘Cultivated Electronics’ imprints followed. 

During this time their own label ‘Colony Productions’ which was born in 2001 began expanding it’s roster to include artists such as Crunch (Mike Wallis & Dave Tipper), Cane aka Funckarma, Opiuo, Vent (Sam Ashwell & Dan Havers), Bran Richards, Schema, Mouldy Soul, Tryptich, Krossbow, Earegular, RD as well as many others. 

The latest incarnation from these two comes in the form of ‘Basik’ and has come together after a few years of not working in the studio together and instead concentrating on their label and other projects. Sam now finds himself the creative director of 750mph and an award winning Sound Designer and Mike has been concentrating on producing of another kind and now has a 6 year old daughter and is one half of Dj and production duo ‘Krymes’ alongside Ben Parker aka Lone Drum.

The first track to be unleashed under the new ‘Basik’ moniker ‘End of Days’ is of a bass heavy and glitchy, mid-tempo style and is representative of the glitch hop sound that is fast becoming an alternative for the dubstep and drum and bass heads around the globe and can be found exclusively on Beta Test Records.

Having started writing and producing with an Atari ST and Akai S950 at the age of 16, using his parent’s vast record collection of Rock, Soul and Reggae as inspiration, he soon moved to Liverpool to pursue an education in sound technology. Initially he made his name in the nu skool breaks and drum & bass scenes as party of the renowned Entity crew with releases on Intercom, Viper Recordings, CIA, Cyberfunk, Funkatech, Fusetrax and more, turning out speaker shattering original beats and remixes and establishing himself as a name to watch and a producer to check for.

In recent times he’s switched up his style and turned his attentions to establishing his unique sound, bridging the gap between the contemporary sounds of mid-tempo breaks and glitch hop. In 2009 he launched Skanky Panky Records alongside long time cohorts sixAM. Skanky Panky has since established itself as one of the leading lights of the UK glitch hop scene with an expansive remit that has brought together low end theories from all four corners of the globe, ensuring bass fanatics are consistently catered for with their high quality releases and dedication to getting all our parties started.	

A steady flow of solo material, collaborative releases and official and unofficial remixes released through Skanky Panky, Empathy Recs NZ, and now Beta Test have ensured William Breakspear’s glitched up beats, frenetic bass and stuttered riddims have made their way into the record crates of many an international DJ; from Solid Steel’s DJ Food and Cheeba to Mochipet, Parker and beyond. These caught the ears of Rocstar label boss Cut La Roc, leading him to sign Mr Breakspear up for an album deal. "Bardcore" was released May 2012. Stay tuned for more  coming atchya real soon…

Tom Excell, is an excitingly eclectic producer from East Anglia now based in Leeds, UK. Known for crafting a range of electronic music in a uniquely intricate yet underground style. He has a musical background as a classically trained guitarist, coupled with a penchant for extreme bass frequencies, you can understand how Excell is opening up a world of technical, sub-destroying possibilities in each track he produces.

When performing as a live act you can expect to hear a range of twisted, beat-driven madness, combining a subtle selection of Reggae, Jungle, Hip-Hop, Swing and beyond.
