This track was created for the 14 day Melodic Beatmaker bootcamp. I think I was a little inspired by the term bootcamp and ended up with a sort of dancy marching song using only BBC Orchestra Instruments. Special thanks to TAETRO your a great teacher!

Stardust

There may be a little irony in starting with ‘saying goodbye’, but I wanted to dedicate this track to someone who passed last year—the one who gave me my first guitar and showed me my first set of chords on a six-string; the one who gave me a glimpse of “bedroom producing” years before I’d ever hear anyone call it so—my dad. His taste was more folk and rockabilly, but he would’ve loved to see how far we’ve come from a four-track cassette recorder. Cheers, dad. 

This was written and produced for the Melodics Beatmaker Bootcamp with TAETRO. It is my first publicly shared electronic track under the moniker betarun—a new version of my musical journey and a natural progression of analog and digital.

saying goodbye

This came from a journey in a beat making class from producer TAETRO and Melodics practice app. Taetro's approach to explaining to creation music from the ground up using Melodics as a practice place, with such a lovely group of people with in Discord Bootcamp discussion space has been inspirational and wonderful experience. 

One of the best things TAETRO has said during one of his lesson "this is not going to be the best piece of music you'll ever make, but it will be the best piece of music you make today."

This is the Second song I've finished. Thankful for the vocal samples to give this song some personality and help me build some structure into it. Still learning this music production thing.  I just hope the person who put these lyrics and vocals out there for free isn't disspointed with what I did with it.
