A daydreamer whose imaginative music has trippy elements that transport the listener to picturesque locations washed in warm sunlight, Betelgeize is a storyteller who uses music to captivate both mind and body. His tracks have dance floor friendly grooves with earthy percussion and immersive atmospherics that mesmerise the listener.
This release comes via Betelgeize's own record label It's Good To Be A Tree, but he has also featured tracks and remixes on other respected imprints including the likes of Exotic Refreshment LTD, Serafin Audio Imprint and Leveldva.
As a musical project, Betelgeize was born on Burning Man and his passion for experimentation constantly forces him to explore new things. This album was inspired by theatre and fairy tales. In essence, it is part of a fairy tale that connects all the tracks with a storyline.

"Capítulo I" opens the release with an Afro house track that has strong percussion and a downtempo groove with African vocals from IKVA that draw the listener in with their emotive tones. The composition is about the calm and measured life of the Luminous Falcon and his small tribe. In "Capítulo II", a local shaman shares an ominous premonition of a mysterious black creature. The track sets the mood with its ceremonial vibe and mystical mood that leads the listener into an enchanted world full of splendour.

"Capítulo III" then picks up the pace as a Black Dragon arrives to play a devious trick on the tribe and kidnap the Luminous Falcon. "Capítulo IV" starts with a soothing mood but builds with dramatic tension, as the tribe becomes aware of the dragon’s deceit. But the Luminous Falcon connects with his deepest sense of light and vows to escape from the dragon.

"Capítulo V" reintroduces the Afro house vibe with revitalising energy that is full of energising percussion and compelling vocals, which signifies The Luminous Falcon making an attempt to escape from the Black Dragon. "Capítulo IV" starts with a soothing mood but builds with dramatic tension. Here Luminous Falcon connects with his deepest sense of light and vows to escape from the dragon. 

"Capítulo VII" closes out the release with an upbeat vibe and downbeat groove, which symbolize the victory of harmony and goodness. The Luminous Falcon has been reunited with the tribe and amicably build their new life. This track also features the vocals of IKVA who rounds off the release with her joyous vocal tones.

Betelgeize is back on his record label It's Good To Be A Tree with a stunning organic house album featuring vocals by IKVA, and production collaborations with AIWAA, Daniel Hokum, DIBIDABO, Kapchiz, Volen Sentir, Kermesse and Valique.

Each of the seven tracks on this release individually collaborates with one of the aforementioned artists, while Betelgeize and IKVA feature on all of the tracks. One of the tracks features vocals by Buduchi, which is a collaborative project between IKVA and Fotinya Fo. The release combines live instruments from around the world with beautiful synths, rhythmic percussion, and IKVA's African vocals.

Known for his enchanting and imaginative sound, Betelgeize is an accomplished producer whose diverse style of organic house has been a regular feature of It's Good To Be A Tree alongside his other record label Leveldva. This release showcases the full range of his sound, while also enlisting other leading lights from the organic house scene.

There is a strong concept that runs through this album that soundtracks a psychedelic fairytale. Talking about the album and it’s concept, Betelgeize said: “This album is a soundtrack for a fairytale I wrote about a pigeon who lives in a beautiful park in harmony with himself and others. One day, the pigeon has a dream, which gives him a premonition that he can find wealth if he goes on a dangerous adventure. So, out of joy, through doubts and mysticism, we get into a dynamic and vivid journey of a pigeon, in which he meets other animals that vary between kind and dangerous characters. The music accompanies the story at every stage, and each chapter has its own track to express its mood and feeling. The first track symbolises a peaceful life in its mood, then the second track is representing doubts and mysticism. Tracks 3 and 4 are dynamic, because the adventure actually starts. First, a bold but unsuccessful attempt to fly over the mountains, then in a group of other animals he uses a bridge to cross a steep gorge. 5 is about falling in love, and 6 is about the main character being captured, then the last one resolving the adventure with a happy ending after he escapes captivity.”

"Mangadi Yala" is a trippy track with Arabic flutes layered alongside IKVA's soothing vocals and some hallucinatory atmospherics, while its deep bassline and revitalising percussion ensure the dance floor is kept moving.

AIWAA is an artist who has previously collaborated with Betelgeize, but he is also known for the tropical sound of his solo organic house tracks on labels such as Cosmic Awakenings.

Daniel Hokum's unique tracks are full of charisma, and he blends influences from different genres with traditional organic house. His tracks can also be found on other imprints such as • kosa • and LNDKHN.

Kermesse is a live artist and producer from Argentina, and is famed for a jazz-infused style, released by labels such as Sol Selectas, Kamai Music, and The Magic Movement.

Valique is another artist who has previously collaborated on music with Betelgeize, in addition to many solo releases on labels like Walk of Sound.

Nenes Del Cacao is the collaborative alias of Fawno and PAVKA who are working together for the second time, after previously collaborating to remix a track on Downtempo Mexico.

Yassen produces downtempo tracks with melodic grooves, and his music has been featured on the likes of Cafe De Anatolia and Serafin Audio.

Alvaro Suarez is a Spanish artist who has released his majestic style of organic house through labels ranging from Underyourskin Records to Do Not Sit.
