“The Circle”

The singer/guitarist Jim Shepherd is probably best known for being a part of the legendary indie Scottish outfit the Jasmine Minks.
One of the first bands signed to Alan McGee’s Creation Records, the ‘Minks put out a handful of albums, including classics like Another Age and 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 All Good Preachers Go To Heaven. They played with bands like the Violent Femmes, Jesus and Mary Chain and The Go-Betweens, recorded a Peel Session, got tons of critical acclaim and got airplay on college stations all across the U.S. The band went on hiatus in  2001, reformed in 2010, played sporadic gigs here and there since then, put out a handful of new singles and have a new album brewing as we speak. In the meantime, Shepherd’s first solo album has just hit shelves. 
Titled The Circle, Shepherd's band for the record includes members of The Loft, The Weather Prophets, June Brides and The Distractions. A ferocious and thoughtful collection filled with indie rock stomp, melodic mod hooks and introspective ballads, The Circle is stirring, satisfying and altogether thrilling work.

Kidney Bingos - Trembling Blue Stars

First song out of "Adult Hits", new LP on Bobo Integral Records by Blue Jeans. Album release date: May the 17th, 2019.

Second album from Michigan pop perfection trio Blue Jeans takes the pocket symphonies of their debut album to a more rugged place. Still approaching sad-hearted indiepop from a place of minimal arrangements, these ten songs bring in shoegaze guitar squall, Sarah Records-esque pastoral jangle, glam thump and New Zealand wistful melodicism, all without losing consistency or overcooking simple pop hooks. On straightforward and arrow-sharp songs, principle songwriter Tim Sendra (Veronica Lake, Madison Electric) and bassist/vocalist Heather Phares weave in layers of vocal harmonies, David Serra provides the rock-solid drumming and Fred Thomas adds in unobtrusive synth counterpoint and deft production twists. The songs fly by short and sweet but the feeling is colorful, melancholy and lasting.

Blue Jeans - Jenny, Am I Fading?

Butcher The Bar is the once bedroom pop recording project of Joel Nicholson, now a 5 piece guitar band based in Manchester.

Releasing two records via Berlin based indie label Morr Music - ‘Sleep At Your Own Speed’ (2008) & ‘For Each A Future Tethered’ (2011) - Joel has taken Butcher The Bar across Europe and UK solo, as a duo, and full band, playing venues large and small in places far and wide, and after 8 years, are ready to release a third LP

Written and recorded between 2013 - 2015 - 'III' is the first BtB album to feature a full band, originally put together to tour in 2011 following FEAFT. 

Recorded in studios and houses across South Manchester, this collection of songs are the most dynamic, diverse, and fully realised of any BtB release to date .

Joel says ‘A lot has happened since we made this record but having recently spent time putting it together, and going back through the songs and album as a whole, we’re finally ready to offer it up. They’re the best songs we’ve done, and just want people to hear them. ‘
