Waiting For My Real Life To Begin

This is a track I recorded during my final year at uni, its a cover of the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band / Neil Innes' Urban Spaceman. Seems a shame to leave it on a dusty portable hard-drive, it's already been untouched for near enough a year! 

I became pretty obsessed with recording music to cassette tapes after I'd picked up a second hand Sony TCM-939. It's easy to get wrapped up in the quest for perfect hi-fidelity sound when producing music but you can't deny the inherent charm of a dog-shit noisy cassette pre-amp. God knows how many times I recorded over that same stretch of tape too.
