'Omg Did She Call Him Baby?' is a re-work of Will Joseph Cook's 'Be Around Me'. 
After a 20 second clip of the re-write went viral on TikTok with over 2.5 million views, Beth released a full version of the song from the perspective of a girl in love with her best friend.
The song has now racked up over 500k streams and has been added to 20k playlists of listeners all over the world.

Beth McCarthy is a York Based singer-songwriter who has been gigging with her acoustic guitar since mid 2010. Taking her influences from Ellie Goulding, Ed Sheeran, Max Milner and the lyrical stylings of Nizlopi, her style has been described as acoustic pop with a slight 'country-esque twang'. Beth plays a mix of her own songs, some poignant, some catchy, all well-crafted, and cover versions in her own dynamic style.
After playing numerous gigs in her hometown, Beth is now reaching a wider audience having played various different music venues during her two tours of England, and also having played the Oxman Stage at Galtres Festival 2013. Following the successful release of her first single 'Hero' on to iTunes in September 2012, Beth has reached a new level in her career after organising the production, launch and release of her debut EP 'Northern Light' in the summer of 2013. Beth is constantly growing as an artist as she continues to write songs and find her own style through performing at every opportunity given. She has played recognised support slots with bands such as Shed Seven and Paper Aeroplanes and has proceeded to perform not only as a solo artist, but also with other musicians to create a more 'full-band' feel to her music. 
Beth has recently taken part in the third series of 'The Voice UK' and made it to the final 28 of 'Team Ricky' - mentored by Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson. Despite her participation in the show, she continues to play gigs all over the country having booked a three day support slot with 'The Orchestra' - formerly known as the Electric Light Orchestra - in Scotland and Sheffield. Beth plans to book a UK tour for Summer 2014 and hopes to release a new album by December 2014.
