Amp Fiddler's new album 'Motor City Booty' is produced by Yam Who? and treats us to a variety of sounds from Motown to techno and neo-soul. 'Steppin' is one of the stand out tracks, a slab of P-funk supported by heads like Giles Peterson.

The Qwestlife remix takes vocals from the Dames Brown Choir, the original's jazzy synths and underlays a skippy beat to make a feel good house groove.

Word of advice to funk lovers. There is not a minute to lose. Get all on board the Big Hustle spaceship, Captain Levanneur and his elite crew are ready to take you on a trip through sound and time going back and forth between today’s sharpest sound and the golden era of funk.
Before we take off, let's do a little history. The band was founded in 2014 by bass player and composer Sébastien Levanneur and its aim is to bring together 70's old school funk with the hippest actual sound laced with influences spanning from Steely Dan to Snarky Puppy, from The Crusaders to Lettuce and from Headhunters to Soulive. With mighty horn players, a rock and funky rhythm section with percussions added to it, The Big Hustle's music has a very large variety of soundscapes, from quiet and groovy moods to moments of furious soundblasts. Still, the music never Ioses the pace¬ and always stays true to the funk.

Mais dans tous les cas, la musique ne perd jamais le groove et reste fidèle au funk.
