Incoming...! Here's this week's firing mix from the mighty duo Los Soruba. Following a great podcast from A1 Bassline last week the Spanish duo come correct with a fantastic contribution to our mix series and taking us all the way up to the big 4-0.

Spanish duo Delmar and Alvaro have been spinning and producing records since they formed ‘Los Suruba’ soon after studying design and music engineering together. They have enjoyed a swift rise to the upper echelons of the underground house music scene and along the way have rocked crowds with fluid and versatile house selections. They are the driving force behind Suruba Records, a four-tiered label that covers a wide variety of sounds. 

The mix is great, progressing through the softer side of house to tougher sounds, all woven together with aplomb and skill. Making his debut on Sudbeat, some 16 years into his music career, is one of the most underrated producers on the scene. Paolo Mojo is one the those rare-breed artist that, in spite of not having a massive social media presence, punishing release schedule or obvious high profile obligations, continues to captivate an army of loyal fans, industry insiders and top class labels. 

Indeed, since his epic ‘The Feels’ on Glasgow Underground last summer, Paolo has not release a single track, preferring instead to focus his attention on quality not quantity. Something of a rarity in these days of continual instant gratification. 

Away from the glare of the spotlight, his obvious studio talent has had time to mature resulting in a series of tracks over the last few years which are a class above the rest. Double-header, 'Kangiten' and 'Room 1282' continue the trend with joyous aplomb. He’s also included two DJ friendly synthapellas to accompany the main tracks. 
'Kangiten' is underpinned by phat 909s, phased percussion and summery chords all culminating in a rapturous tour-de-force end-of-the-nighter. On the flipside, 'Room 1282' displays a more reflective Mojo; delicate keys and soft percussive tones lay the groundwork for the deep rubbery bassline and epic breakdown which follow.

Artist bio:
Marcelo Dominguez a.k.a Doguez was 15 years old when he first started as DJ and Producer. Since then, he still comes dedicating his life to music, believing in his sound and conquering space in the regional scene.
From Rio de Janeiro, he brings with him many lived experiences on the dancefloors and on the club stages he has played, such as Sacadura 154, Espaço Bella Vista and the old club Kalesa.
Then, he discovered the musical production universe, where he comes working on it everyday to get his tracks released.

Betoko's infectious sounds have been heard at Amnesia, Warung, Green Valley, Space, Fabric, Ushuaia, Kater Holzig, numerous Festivals and pretty much every top club in the world, and has played b2b sets with DJs like Sasha and Nick Warren.

Betoko is based at the world famous Red Bus Recording Studios and is a sponsored artist of Native Instruments, Arturia and Dave Smith Instruments.
