Side A features two tracks by the Brussels producer a.brehme, conceived as counterparts to one another. The shimmering, meditative ‘Dawning’ carries the promise of daybreak. Plucked strings and hushed morning whispers cast elusive shadows in the soft glow. ‘Extrapolate’, by contrast, runs deep and wide. It unfolds an increasingly impressive arsenal of layered rhythms and melodies—at times unleashing, at times withholding—always with something new up its sleeve.

On Side B, ‘Extrapolate’ is reimagined by Signal Kommt aka Z@p. The Uruguayan producer tightens his grip, carving out an even more unyielding groove. Rather than smoothing the edges, he sharpens them. As the track pushes forward, brewing drama and flickering synths eventually dissolve into the night.

Aedis debuts on Dzungla, pushing his sound forward while staying grounded in rhythm and movement.

The 4-tracker moves from percussive, driving techno into deeper, groove-led territory, centred around basslines and tightly structured patterns. Across the EP, impact gives way to flow, with tracks built around momentum, space, and subtle variation rather than peak intensity.

The closing track shifts the focus toward harmony and arrangement, opening the spectrum while maintaining a steady, dancefloor-oriented framework.

Earth Dog Records label bosses djfix & Jek present the imprint’s 12th release, “unknown species.”

The A-side highlights the duo’s signature bass-driven, swampy tech steeze. “unknow species” snakes listeners deep into tech-house hypnosis, driven by neck-snapping, pitch-bent basslines, spiraling vocal chops, and crunchy, looping percussion.

Reinforcing the release, Konduku delivers a deep techno reinterpretation of the title track, pushing it into a hypnotic sweet spot with time-stretched, rippling textures and subtle yet hard-hitting percussion.

On the flip side, “earth dub 2” and “datura” take a stranger turn - perfect for the deepest, darkest hours of the night or a sprawling, smoke-filled sunrise.

The digital package also includes “toad,” a Bandcamp-exclusive cut available only through Earth Dog Records.
