A spiky opening this week, courtesy of Pink Kink, gives way to the lilting reggae of Lila Ike. Les Filles des Illighadad's trance-like desert blues then provides the bridge into an electronic/dance frame for the rest of the list. Floating Points set things going, and Invisible Minds add an interesting West African twist, with Cut Copy eventually providing the bridge back into the rock/pop territory of The Orielles. The Pink Kink track is a breath of fresh air, and I also like the Floating Points and Invisible Minds tracks, but Lila Ike's "Gotti Gotti" is my favourite track this week.

I first gave to “Seeing Through Shadows” @Ricardo Villalobos. He was the only guy who was able to play crazy stuff. Please keep in mind, that this sound was not big at that time, and Ricardo was really far out. 

We were at the Dance Valley Festival, playing the Circoloco stage. Ricardo came to me during his set and said: “I’m going to play your track! Watch @Richie Hawtin’s face!“ He played the tune, and after first chords I saw Rich go to Ricardo. I didn’t really know him at that time. I just saw Ricardo laughing and pointing at me.

Loco Dice - Seeing Through Shadows (Minus)

Without Ellen, Berlin’s vibrant club landscape wouldn’t be the same. Her new EP 'High' is the first material since 2014’s 'Freak EP'. 'High‘ is a 11-minute trip dedicated to the dancing crowd. Everything about this track is subtle and hypnotic, from the pushing bass to the powerful ascending soundscapes to the lead vocal line.
