Better Lost Than Stupid’s new single ‘Back From The Desert’ is a further glimpse of the band’s forthcoming debut album. Released by Skint/BMG on 26th July, ‘Back From The Desert’ follows recent singles ‘The Sky Is To Low’ (b/w a Fort Romeau remix), and ‘Inside’.

 

Better Lost’ comprises 3 of the world’s finest producers and DJs - Martin Buttrich, Davide Squillace, and Matthias Tanzmann. Three friends who’ve known each other for over a decade, and who’ve each carved out impressive individual legacies within house and techno; together as Better Lost’ they’ve been supported by Mixmag, Dancing Astronaut, RA, Radio 1 (Pete Tong/Danny Howard), Marco Carola, Dubfire, Nicole Moudaber, Nic Fanciulli, Richie Hawtin, Kolsch, Joris Voorn, Carl Craig, Claptone, Joseph Capriati, Eats Everything, Adam Beyer, and more.

 

As with most of the forthcoming album, ‘Back From The Desert’ was written and produced in studio sessions over the past year. Once the album recording was completed, the trio went fully into live rehearsals. Their first shows in late May at Heart Ibiza, and London’s The Steelyard, saw a triumphant culmination of months of intense work with Better Lost’s’ songs transformed into a blistering live set. Forthcoming live shows will be announced soon.

 

Though the live shows debuted in May, as DJs, Better Lost Than Stupid have already played a long list of memorable sets including a Miami Winter Music Conference headline show for Arcadia; a sold out headline show at Koko in London, their standout BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, headlined legendary Ibiza venue, Amnesia, and at the likes of Razzmatazz in Barcelona, Circoloco at DC10, Krystal Club in Romania, and BPM Festival.
