NOTICE (Interlude)

SITTIN AROUND

This song has a lot of flat edges. Seems consolidated if I am honest. I somehow got it to move the way I wanted though. 
And I think I did a good job honestly. 
The simplicity of the sound and the lack of real dynamics crowd the atmosphere and I love it. The lows kiss the threshold of "low" and I think the kick maintains that right amount of bite. I think I feel myself here. I don't look like Patrick Swayze, but I surely feel like that motherfucker right now. 

I'm at a crucial point now and I think it is time to acknowledge it. I have an opportunity to keep up or to lose sight and I don't think I want the latter. I can tell in my thoughts that the easy route would be to retreat to a small town in a small hospital where I can keep up the wanderlust while maintaining the bliss of arrogance. 

If I'm not in my own way there really is nobody else out there. Music is a strong escape and weird place I can retreat to. My mind will remain impressed by what I feel I have done here for the next few days as if I  unlocked the next real piece of complacency. 

I forgot to call my dad today. That's my bad. 

I can see how music puts you in the place you need to be, however you imagine it. It is undeniable. I can't help but believe I am achieving something by putting this out there. I hope it is enjoyable.

SWAYZE

Yo this is a demo.

I think I have difficulty accepting what it is I am doing. I find the challenge to be extremely satisfying, especially as I pass the mile-markers, but I don't feel any real satisfaction. I understand I have a certain amount of gravity underneath me and that I have decided to make something of nothing. I understand that this route will not be easy, nor will it be one that feels desirable.

A lot of people choose to educate themselves past 10,000 hours and I envy them.  I envy the determination and the desire to achieve. I consider their options for them, and I believe their options to be more plentiful than mine. I think about it a lot - especially what it means to be. 

I find appreciation in what I have had in front of me. I think about the cards that showed themselves before I started paying attention and then I remind myself of the cards that were laid down when I said "Hit Me." Those were the real moments. Gulf Shores. New Orleans. New Braunfels. New York City. Chicago. All these fucking place I've been. 

This can't be it. 

But right now, you gotta see, this ain't me. 

Give me a chance.

Notice It Aint Me

The first of a kind from me. Kinda dance-music-y. I think there is some bass in there. Enough, at least. Drums are neat but not over zealous. I did not slam this. I envision a 2 min 30 second action sequence being made to this, or inspired by it. That would rock.

STRANGE LOOKS

26 has been an incredible age. I wanted to say more about it but the emotions were already there before I sat down, so there was no changing what came out. I tried to reflect a little bit tonight so that I could hear what I've been listening to a little more. I think this about sums it up for me. On to the next one.
