In this interview DJ and Producer Rockateer Cryptonite tells us about 
how it is to become a dj, rocking the crowd, why he came to jungle
music and what was the best actions around the club time in the 90’ies and 00'ies.

In this interview which is in german actually only available, i met DJ Rockateer Cryptonite 
who i know first 1998 in Napoli at the BerlinNapoli art project organized by Don Rispetto aka
Gio di Sera in his studio and talk with him before his record collection about DJ related
biography points in his life and here especially over his strong relation to jungle and
drumn' bass music, since it was popping up from  england around mid 90's.
 
Happy hardcore breaks are a center of his over 15 000 vinyl collection of jungle & drumnbass
music. He started as a DJ 1996 in Hamburg and moved then to Berlin, where he crossed many 
iconic ways in club culture, like KISS FM Radio, Twen FM (pirate radio), Yaam Club, Cafe 
Zapata/Tacheles, he was also guest at my DJ Everybody Happening in Club for Tschunk 1999-2000
with his records warm but wild bassmusic, often as a Team with MC Bomsh, MC Klabautermann
(R.I.P.), MC Kruder and nowadays still involved with Diaz Soto and Fuck Parade. 
The 00er years he worked with the music label R.O.T.,with DaKee under the concept Ragga Breaks 
and toured 2000-2005 around in germany, austria & england.
He claims that Drumn'Bass will never die cause it's not suitable for sellout. His dj sets
are known for tremendous using bootlegs. Since 1 year he is working on a new album under the
aim to unborder music styles and building bridges from drumn'bass into electro. His style
he describes as energetic positivity, which was and is always the main fascination of jungle
music for him. "You are the light" is his message in his dj sets and own tracks. Intitiated 
through the Prodigy album 1995 "out of space", coming from heavy metall, he is still
