It's 3 in the morning. You have been dancing your ass off to some of the Bay Area's finest, and your body is commanding you to sit down and rest. But, good gracious, this event is called Heartthrob.

Took me long enough! There were some major issues with the audio which is why it's a little shorter than the original set, but here it is.

This set came together on the spot, as I had not been intending to play this event and had to fill in when one of our DJs fell ill with Covid. Which is pretty metaphoric when you consider the whole idea of kintsugi in the first place which is about creating something new out of the broken bits.

It's the summer solstice. You spent the day in the Northern California sun, dancing and splashing around in a crystal blue reservoir. After a healthy meal and some much-needed downtime, you are ready to hit the dance floor again. Hair, glitter, comfy shoes...you get there just in time to find everyone is in a circle and taking a moment of grace before breaking into the chant: 

"We. Are. One. In. The. Dance!" 

And off you go....

Betty Ray (Disco Ritual, Rhythm Society) is a classically-trained disco kid who always dreamed of starting a revolution but couldn't stand the sight of blood. One night on the dance floor, she was struck with an epiphany: Align the booty, mind, and heart, and frappé with the funky sh*t! Serve with some good speakers, and shake liberally.
