Between Empires is a new original musical written and produced by Morgan Mackintosh and Orlando Simon, with music composed by Michail Palaiologou. Be transported to a beautiful, vibrant India of 200 years ago. The original score blends East and West-tabala, Hindustani violin, Bansuri flute, cello and piano are just some of the instruments to be performed live. With the rich, colourful costumes of India and superb choreography, you can expect the show to be visually stunning. The story focuses on the fated romance of a Mughal princess and an English officer, set against the racism, corruption and violence of the East India Company officials. The show explores the extremes of human nature: rage, despair, love and hope.
