Summer Vibes jam

Dutch, Utrecht-based music group Between the Jars are renowned for their bustling live performances, adventurous songs, and bringing a wholly unique sound into the rock scene. Their influences come from all around and encompass a broad spectrum of different genres. Florian Albronda, lead singer of the group, ties these various strands together into songs that achieve everything from eclectic and energetic highs to melancholic and cathartic outbursts; they play on raw emotions and do not shy away from breaking song-structural moulds. Though their genre-crossing music refuses to be put into a singular category, once stepping into the minds of Between the Jars, you will discover that every song is a microcosm of layers and ideas while also offering a cohesive journey of its own.

As songwriters often mirror and reflect on contemporary issues we all deal with, Between the Jars are putting their two cents into this long tradition. Their single ‘Passing Through’, released in 2020, screams ‘I’ve got a funny feeling in my bones, feeling kinda slow’—referencing Florian’s personal feelings of pressure to succeed to others' standards and translating a sentiment felt by many among the young generations. As they keep expanding their songbook, the band released two albums, their debut ‘Oh…What a Time To Be Alive’ in 2020 and ‘What’s to Come’ in 2021, performed on stages ranging from AFAS Live in their home country to festivals across Europe and even India. 

With their third album 'Happily Wasting Away' almost ready for release, there is a lingering feeling that Between the Jars is on the cusp of shaking up the music scene, releasing their unbridled energy to a whole new era of music lovers.
