other islands ▶ "The EP is out on the 4th of May as a self-release. It picks up from the recent tracks "street lit/bleachless" with an EP of warped club hymns. Following support from @objectblue, AYA and guest mixes for @martharadio and @preciousmetalsx, "all else said" + "back yard" recasts familiar sound system tools, set between tape-slowed jungle and dubbed-out 2-step."

▶ "It was produced and mixed by other islands in Mexico City in 2022. The mastering was made by Jason Goz at @transition-mastering in southeast London."

✤ The producer used also ASMR YouTube videos and field recordings from London and Mexico City in the track. He was inspired by UK sound system culture, especially dub nights in Leeds, UK; underground parties around Mexico City, and also walkings in his neighborhood (Narvarte) looking at trees and street signs.
