Learned this tune after hearing Ted Leighton playing it on the uilleann pipes at a local jam in Annapolis Royal.  It has been recorded by Altan and others under this and other titles.  This is a quick recording made on my iMac without an external mic.  I'm playing my 1925 Weymann tenor banjo and my Republic resonator guitar with the top 4 strings tuned GDAE and played as a tenor guitar (something I do a lot so that I don't have to carry two guitars when I'm traveling).

"Carolan's Welcome" is a traditional air composed by the Irish harper/songwriter Turlough O'Carolan, (1670-1738).  Played on my c. 1925 Weymann tenor banjo.  Recorded on an iMac without any external mic.
