A deep and relentless journey through the shifting sands of techno, this set bridges the shadowy atmospheres of industrial pioneers like Nine Inch Nails and the precision minimalism of ASC, with the hypnotic propulsion of Sandwell District and Claudio PRC. Swirling in layers of ambient tension and broken rhythm, it moves effortlessly between cinematic soundscapes and warehouse-ready rollers. Tracks like "Love for Hire" by Miler and "Glass House" by Marcal offer raw groove and emotional grit, while the ethereal pulse of "Eclipse" by Altinbas and the haunting textures of Wind Whisper (Andy Martyn Remix) elevate the set into celestial territory.

There’s a masterful balance between physicality and introspection – the pounding energy of Rene Wise and Christian Wunsch rubbing against the cerebral depth of Edit Select and Function. UUN, Tripeo, and Lee Holman inject a driving modular aggression, contrasted with UFO 95’s stripped-down rave mechanics. The inclusion of Gotshell’s Cluster (Setaoc Mass Remix) and  immersive sound design keep the set tightly coiled, building into a vortex of hypnotic techno and distorted euphoria.

Yolanda Polanco is a Puerto Rican DJ and musician based in Orlando, known for a sound that moves between hard, driving rhythms and softer, more atmospheric textures. She builds her sets with intention, often mixing trance-leaning energy with deeper, moodier shades of techno. Since founding her digital label Insides in 2019, she has used it as a home for her own productions and as a space to explore the emotional and rhythmic sides of the music she cares about. Alongside this, she runs a second project, speeddemon777, which lets her step into a brighter, more playful direction — fast, euphoric, and high in energy. Across both identities, her work shows a commitment to exploring contrasts and keeping her sound open, expressive, and rooted in feeling.

This mix brings together a set of recent favourites, guided by groove and light melody. It moves with a steady pulse, leaning into what felt natural in the moment while keeping the energy warm, direct and dance-focused.

Hay everyone, your man 909 back in the saddle week with my set from Technophobia in Liverpool supporting the might Gary Beck on 7 Nov at WAV. As anyone who was there will know Gary absolutely took the place apart, playing a masterful set that was pounding and amazingly technically. 

I was truly honour to warm up for Gary - so you can hear me pushing up the energy and bringing it back down again to get everyone dancing but not worn out for the main man.
