The original is one of my favorite tracks of all time. Down to the lyrics, it struck all the right chords in my eyes (or ears?). When I started working on the song, it was one of those sessions I constantly got chills in. Though, it is one of those songs that I believe you could never beat the original... but I sure as hell felt like I had to give it a shot on a classic!

This remix is a real testament to my love for sampling & music knowledge, as 3 different songs are sampled here. Hate it or Love it originally sampled "Rubber Band" by the Trammps, which I used for the horn loop at the 2nd breakdown, along with a loop from J Dilla's track "Dilla Says Go", which also samples "Rubber Band". Taking deep dives into finding original samples from tracks I love is one of my favorite things to do, so this one is for all my music fanatics!
