Alessandro Adriani is a lot of things – producer, DJ, live performer and label owner – but above all he is a tireless music researcher. The Berlin-based Italian goes further than your average “crate digger” in pursuit of information about sounds, styles, artists and record labels, devoting countless hours to unearthing the untold stories behind the music he loves, regardless of when it was made

In 2019 he started a music collaboration with the electro producer The Hacker as 'Amato & Adriani', followed by a release and an extensive tour around Europe. Aside from his work in releasing forgotten gems and up to the minute synth incantations, Alessandro Adriani has also been quietly issuing out his own music for labels like Mannequin, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Pinkman and Jealous God.

The Forgotten CLXVIII: Alessandro Adriani

FRECUENCIAS ANCESTRALES is a limited edition transparent vinyl LP with nine tracks produced by /beyond/ including references to the 9 phases that make up the Mitclán. It is a journey full of intense emotions that, after a creative synergy between ancient ritual music and the repetitive rhythms of modern musical styles, transports the listener to the melancholic and raw phases of electronic music of these times. The essential parts that influence the project are reflected, with unique collaborations such as that of the Chichimeca indigenous group Jonas and the fantastic photographic material of Teresa Espadafor that document this journey erasing the stigmas that some of these cultures have suffered throughout history. The album includes a limited edition Fanzine.
A Live Audiovisual project by /Beyond/ & Pedro Maia. A review of Mexico's ancestral sounds and pre-Hispanic cultures from the point of view of two creators of audiovisual arts of the SXXI. The live audiovisual was shot in Mexico in analogue format with a super 8 camera. Ritual scenes were captured that collect socio-historical and folk cultural factors and traces that can still be found in Mexico today. In a collaborative experimental process carried beyond dance music, an audiovisual piece is created for his live act in a performance format. This is a romantic way of perceiving current music, introducing ancestral elements and their power over the senses of human beings. Thus we enter the scenes of the Mexican rituals, where a unique and intense duality emerges, and it is still unresolved today. We perceive a tragic past and its culture which has not been able to outrage; We call it a culture of blood; information imprinted in the DNA of all Mexicans and that we experienced as a strong attitude, full of values and respect for Mother Earth.

Today we premiere the track Timiminaloayan and the teaser video for the release. An excellent optoacoustic piece of work, the result of the active participation of the artists in the day to day life of the indigenous people. In their effort to capture the precious moments, the artists mingled with the traditions and got absorbed by the unique historical and territorial spirit. The track Timimminaloayan is a sonic vehicle where the past and present meet, creating something timeless and sacred.

Reka & /Beyond/ - We Owe You All [Urban Legend]

There are an infinite number of reasons why an artist may be influenced to create his or her work, but no cause is better justified than that of life itself and the beauty of everything that surrounds us. Nature as a creative concept can have different interpretations, however, the alliance between Reka and /Beyond/ has built a sound framework based on the beauty that nature offers, a beauty that can show infinite aspects depending on its evolution and condition, and which is in danger due to the mismanagement of this planet by the human race.

Astalar joins the countless demands to try to reverse the current situation of the planet, however, to this attempt to make the population aware of the catastrophe that is looming, we must add the artistic objective, which is to show a new symbiosis between these two producers.

The album opens with We Owe You All, a cut that exemplifies the transcendence of the habitat, of nature, for the development of our life and that of any organisation. Musically, both artists choose to use a strong background, with a powerful punch, to which they add a harmonic conjugation that manifests grandeur and Reka's imposing voice that reiterates the slogan dedicated to mother earth.  

Cynara, the second cut on side A, alludes to a species of thorny plants that inhabit the Mediterranean. This track begins with a dense atmosphere to which a firm rhythmic pattern is added later, and an arpeggio that conditions the musicality of the piece. 

Side B opens with Mil Espinas (A Thousand Thorns), a cut that stages the tiny distance that exists in nature between beauty and cruelty, between calm and anxiety. The gentle drones that enter from the beginning and Reka's hypnotic vocals lull the listener into a serenity that is soon altered by the intrusion of rhythmic structure and a solid bass line. 

Acid Dusk illustrates the various outcomes that can appear in everyday moments. This cut closes the EP mixing influences from various musical genres and in which both artists transform what at first seems to be a placid scenario, like the powerful pad that opens the track, into different sonic outcomes with the addition of a couple of acid lines and a forceful syncopated rhythm.

Delivered through first-rate electronic sounds, it is a painful realisation that we risk losing everything. The versatile outcome of this collaboration represents the fusion of the
broad musical influences of the two artists.

Today we premiere the track ‘Mil Espinas', which is a slow electro introduction to the EP, inspired by the wildflower teasel (Astalar in ancient Spanish); a sonic representation of its beauty and harshness, like life itself. Mesmerising synthesisers accompany Reka’s imposing voice, narrating an emotive poem speaking straight to the heart.


Reka and /Beyond/ created 'Astalar', somewhere in the magical countryside of Tarragona, Spain, surrounded by a cheeky cat, two super cute dogs and a wonderful human being. Teresa Espadafor is not only the author of the beautiful images that became central to the record's concept. She has also been an essential element for its realisation, with her valuable contribution and exceptional energy.

Frecuencias Ancestrales is an audiovisual exploration of the sounds of the ancestral cultures of Mexico by the musician /beyond/, the filmmaker Pedro Maia and the pre-Hispanic multi-instrumentalist Óscar Carrillo, who in a joint creative process seek symbiosis and synergy between the music of ancient rituals and the repetitive rhythms adopted by various currents of avant-garde music. 

The Live AV was shot in Mexico in analog format with a super 8 camera, with scenes of ceremonies that reflect the cultural, socio-historical and folkloric factors and traces that can still be found in Mexico today.
