Jurrasic Park, I hate the way mid way though the film, the boy says "Your just a geek" or something out of nowhere which is an obvious narative hook for later in the film - but is is just out of the blue in the forest... very dumb.... But here is an interesting fact, the computer she uses later on is an SGI, which also of course the type of machine they used to render the CGI. It might look ridiculous but that 3D representation was FSN which was an actual program that came with IRIX (I owned one for a bit back in the 90s ). Its a file system viewer (a stupid one at that)... so its not ment for controlling gates and stuff, but it was actually a functional bit of software and not totally made up. But then where on earth would she have come into contact with an super expensive SGI workstation!!
