Indian classical music has always been an inquisitive form of harmony for me. It has always been a dream to create something where I'd be able to fuse the true soul of Indi classical with electronic sounds.

After working tediously at my little studio, I came up with this original composition celebrating the true spirit of Dravidians. I present you, 'Curd Rice'. It is simply an attempt to represent the true spirit of South India and its rich culture.

The cover art is designed by Owl Solutions which is inspired by “Kolam”, an ancient art form especially followed in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Kolam is created by forming geometrical designs around dots. It represents the happiness, positivity and liveliness of a household. It is intended to welcome Prosperity and Good Vibes.

Advaita is an attempt to mix Indian classical elements with techno. It's a symphony of dual sounds ie: ancient Indian ragas with electronic synth. Hence the name "Advaita', which is a composite of two Sanskrit words: Prefix 'a', meaning "non" 'Dvaita', which means 'duality' or 'dualism'. The arrangement of the composition is all about the right balance of melodic sitar notes with a contemporary texture. The track is melodic, groovy, and has just the right amount of ethnic touch to it.

Ital pital mharo is one of the oldest and very famous folk song from Dunes of Rajasthan. My version of the track is the male adaptation of the song by Bansi Bawara, a street singer from Udaipur. 
I have had a long association with Rajasthani classical music, revolving around a stuttering vocal, rolling drums and a woozy, tone-shifting bass and native Rajasthani instruments in the development of the bleep scene. Surangi shifts into a dreamy synth segue and drops deep into hypnotic, tonal grooves.

The single is Inspired by “Aigiri Nandini” by @shantipeople . I was always curious to see if I could try this Shloka with a totally different approach. With the bleak acid line that wraps itself around the arrangement and that melodic synth lead by my friend @ronyguitars , ‘Parvati’ is a percussive funky hypnotic ride where moody chords, one-note bleeps and dense percussion makes it an intense combination.

Ashok Pai AKA Beyond Charlie started experimenting with production tools Like FL Studio, Technomatrix and Ableton at a very early age. Soon after his Law college days in 2006, he was introduced to Djing and the other elements of production. Beyond Charlie is known for his unique blend of Indian Classical, Carnatic and Indi Folk music with electronica.

Beyond Charlie discovered his love for House music early on, when the innovative Techno and Electronic sounds infiltrated back in 2006. This introduction to House music changed his life and he has embraced electronic soul music wholeheartedly ever since. The year was 2010 when Beyond Charlie moved to Hamburg, Germany and was introduced to Techno. He absolutely fell in love with the genre and techno has continued to influence his style until now. Being a buff of Indian classical instruments like sitar, sarod, flute and Carnatic Vocals, Beyond Charlie was supremely influenced while he got a chance to tour with Jalebee Cartel and The Midival Punditz Feat Karsh Kale for the Bacardi Megamix. Beyond Charlie released his first single ‘Arundhati’ on Tech Tantra Records and it was supported by many artists worldwide. Beyond Charlie has performed at India's most prestigious, trendy night-clubs and Lounge bars. Beyond Charlie has headlined events in Kathmandu, Macau, Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, Goa, Mumbai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Manipal and More. He has shared the stage with some of the best artists in the industry like John 00 Fleming, Minitech Project, The Yellow Heads, Ana Lilia, Baba Robijn, Bregger, Ramiro Lopez, Alberto Ruiz, Enamour, Candice Redding, Hilight Tribe to name few.

 Beyond Charlie has performed in all types of venues, festivals and parties, to slamming crowds. With his smooth dynamic deep techno mix, he also appeared on Big 92.7 and Radio Indigo 91.9 FM's BB show in the same year.
