American and German horrorcore metal band, Beyond the Veil, have released their fourth track, entitled Maria’s Nightmare. Maria’s Nightmare combines the hybrid of deathcore, horror, black metal, and death metal that Beyond the Veil is known for. As in previous releases, the song also continues paying homage to the horror game Bloodborne and the horror genre in general.

It touches on the story of Daughter Ebrietas, a monstrous creature that is conduit between the Church and the Great Ones. The song enters with a short acoustic intro before breaking into speedy black metal, ambient choruses, breakdowns and a dark finale that hammers home the blackened horror.
