I love and connect with Ewa’s music so hard I feel like have too many things to say. but let me start with this:

i’m a little coward and a chicken.
i tried playing „Yume Nikki” a few times and to make it even less disturbing I launched it on my PS Vita BUT STILL couldn’t finish it. Its edgy subtleness, cute gore, and liminal art style were pure nightmare fuel. but one thing has stuck with me - the soundtrack.

and here comes Ewa Sad with her new, obscure, hazy project „Lolipianko” which feels almost exactly like „Yuke Nikki” cult, classic OST. cozy although cold… vivid although liminal… a perfect freeware-Winamp-Soulseek combination filled with grotesquely warm ringtone-like melodies.

Three years in the making, the EP Butterfly is the soundtrack to a world that doesn’t exist, yet feels strangely familiar. Born from the remnants of abandoned projects and late-night creative detours, this EP channels the essence of a « bug anime » that’s never been written. Each track flutters between hope, fear, and fleeting moments of peace, like the brief, intense life of the insects it seems to serenade.

With piano labyrinths leading the way, the music echoes like distant rainfall. Half written in California, half in Florida, this album reflects 04’s artistic evolution, weaving memories, oceans, and ambient textures into a fragile yet fierce collection of songs.

There’s a certain curiosity in every note, a feeling of shedding old skins, moving from one battle to the next. Whether it’s a quiet reflection or the backdrop to your final showdown, Butterfly captures life’s transient beauty, with a touch of something ethereal... Maybe 04’s a bug. Or maybe we all are.

Lucien Balconi is a wanderer. On 'Pierre ☆ Feuille ☆ Ciseaux’, his journey takes him from fog-cloaked metropolises to mystical creeks, across deserts at dusk and into the craggy neuro-valleys of memory itself. What he finds is wistful and bittersweet, like the last flickering embers of a fading campfire. This album is a tapestry of half-remembered fleeting moments, blurry daydreams on train rides through rapidly shifting landscapes. Samples of One Tree Hill and Twin Peaks dialogue make strangely affecting cameos, like imagined plot points for a film that’s felt but never seen. Our hero evolves as his story progresses. ‘Pierre Feuille Ciseaux’ takes on a gothed out swagger, ‘Cuore Spezzato’ is fully blissed, shoegazing post-Americana, while 'Los Sabores' sees him unlock a fully levitating, guarachian shaman mode. This is a nu-folktale, as told by verb’d out guitars and slowly unfurling, mist-like textures.

This piece is inspired by the grand motion of our galaxy — a cosmic journey we are all part of. It reflects the idea that our solar system is traveling through space, moving away from Sirius and the Pleiades, and heading toward the constellation Lyra. The music follows this trajectory, evoking the sensation of a galactic voyage. The composition is framed by two pivotal points: the apex and the antapex, which symbolize both the direction and the boundaries of the journey. Through sound, this work explores our silent motion through the stars.

This piece is also a tribute to Mike Oldfield, whose groundbreaking work has deeply influenced my music. It is released today in honor of his birthday.
