Ben Franks considers himself as “the man of many talents.” He can dance, he can play an instrument, he is an organizational speaker and student. He was born in Miami and he is always in Miami, but he currently lives in Broward. He currently is a student at St.Thomas University doing his last year studying Organizantinal Leadership. Next, he hopes to pursue his masters at FAU in producing and engineering music. Also, he even created a not-for-profit called BenMcNamee Incorporation to talk to kids about the dangers of hazing. It seems Ben have quite a few things laid out for himself,but his music side is a different story altogether.

Music is something that always been part of Ben’s life. His mom had a full ride to Berkeley to sing as a soprano singer and she turned that down to go to FSU to study psychology. Then there is his cousin, the person, that got him producing music, recording and mixing vocals. Ben’s cousin was the sound engineer making beats and rapping. But he died in a car accident, and Ben decided to keep going with music. He actually went to FAMU to be one of the first people to be in the new music industry program. However, the hazing Robert Champion situation made him turn himself into the authorities where his schooling at FAMU had to end. He had to come back down south and used that as an opportunity to keep working on music. He started working with the Fruity Loops program engineering, and working on the boards. Ben was trying to find his lane when it came to creating music.

When it comes to Ben’s music everyone says he produces a bouncy type of sound that just grabs your attention. It fits him because he considers himself to be a southern style producer sticking to the drilling and trap music style of producing. It also goes, with the people he likes to look up to like Mike Will,Scott Storch and his biggest inspiration Zaytoven. He likes the way Zaytoven’s beats are orchestrated. He also like the track history Zaytoven displays having hits in the past and in the present. Ben wants all that success to be said about himself and he understands to get there he has to respect the process.

The process to success includes connecting with great people. Getting in contact with Banks an artist on the SpitWitIt label and seeing the contracts and meetings convinced him to get more involved with the group. He sees SpitWitIt as an opportunity to do something great and he likes the professionalism displayed within the team. With that being said Ben believes in using his talents to get to different platforms in his life. The ultimate goal Ben wants to reach is to get a Grammy and he wants SpitWitIt to be a part of that story as his platform. What Ben wants to give to the people is something of rhythmic value. He feels that it is not always what the artist says that catches an audience’s attention, but it is the beat that creates that vibe. Ben Franks is going to make sure he is that person that gives you something to vibe to every time.
