ਵੀਆਹੁ ਹੋਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਬੁਲਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
My marriage has been performed, O my father. As Gurmukh, I have found the Lord.

ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਕਟਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡੁ ਬਲਾਇਆ ॥
The darkness of ignorance has been dispelled. The Guru has revealed the blazing light of spiritual wisdom.

ਬਲਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਬਿਨਸਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਤਨੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਲਾਧਾ ॥
This spiritual wisdom given by the Guru shines forth, and the darkness has been dispelled. I have found the Priceless Jewel of the Lord.

ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਗੁ ਗਇਆ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਾਥਾ ਆਪੁ ਆਪੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਖਾਧਾ ॥
The sickness of my ego has been dispelled, and my pain is over and done. Through the Guru's Teachings, my identity has consumed my identical identity.

ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਨਾ ਕਦੇ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਇਆ ॥
I have obtained my Husband Lord, the Akaal Moorat, the Undying Form. He is Imperishable; He shall never die, and He shall never ever leave.

Dr. Gurnam Singh is an exponent of the Gurmat Sangeet Tradition of Punjab, which belongs to the genre of Sikh devotional music. He sings eulogies in the Pwadhi tongue and Dilruba/Taus, Tabla, Rabab, Swarmandal, and Harmonium are played for the recital. A presentation of Gurmat Sangeet, which is an amalgamation of Indian classical music and folk tunes, is called ‘Shabad Kirtan Chowki’. The term ‘Shabad’ refers to the holy hymns of the Guru Granth Sahib (Sikh Holy Book) while the ‘Kirtan’ refers to a Sikh Devotional song. All Gurus from the first, Guru Nanak to the tenth and last, Guru Gobind Singh developed and perfected the Shabads and the Kirtans that accompany them. Dr. Singh was introduced to Kirtan at an early age by his father Bhai Uttam Singh and later studied under Professor Tara Singh of Patiala. Today he is a professor and head of the Gurmat Sangeet Department at the Punjab University. An expert musician and a scholar, he has performed at various locales in India and around the world and has published research books, papers and dissertations on Sikh and Punjabi music, with focus on the Gurmat Sangeet. He is singularly responsible for the creation of several courses, departments, libraries, archives and even festivals and competitions in the field. He sings in a soft, mellifluous voice that makes for a peace ensuing, sonorous and spiritual experience.

After removing Bhai Jairam Ji’s doubts, Guru ji decides to leave Sultanpur but ends up staying back upon Bhai Bala Ji’s request. Guru Ji’s maternal grandparents have arrived, after getting the exciting news of Guru Ji’s upcoming engagement ceremony.

Sri Nanak Prakash is a detailed historical account of the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It was written by Mahakavi (great poet) Bhai Santokh Singh Ji in 1824 (AD), and represents one of the most comprehensive and beautifully written accounts of Guru Ji’s life. It is usually associated as a part of the greater text known as Sri Gurpartap Suraj Granth (aka Suraj Prakash) which details the historical accounts of all 10 Guru Sahibs in poetic form. It is an ocean of bliss, knowledge and experience. It is said that if one listen to the history of the lives of all 10 Gurus through these texts with complete devotion and faith, they can reach enlightenment.
