'I had the pleasure of playing the Labyrinth this year in Naeba, Japan, and the event is always inspiring and invigorating. This year was no exception, and as I am inspired by the people I have met, I decided to try incorporate them into this mix here, along with some new music I have discovered record shopping here in Tokyo. This mix is a bit of a snapshot of where I am right now in the present moment, and it feels great. Recently I've been combining abstract music with rhythmic music; whether or not the results are successful is not so important as I enjoy this and think it is interesting to find intersections for these different musics I enjoy. Asking to attentively look into the blurry picture, the creators report something meaningful in the language of dub-techno. It is impossible to say exactly what all of the glitches, muffled fog loops, light noise and voice samples contain. Perhaps this is a tribute to the good old Detroit together with the longing for the departed, or maybe it is the personification of a new reality with its social indecision and fragmentation. This knowledge seems to flow in the fibres of the subconscious, picking out the answer inside the listener. Despite the noticeable anxiety of the ambient background, the threadlike pulse of life is performed by the warm chords, expressing hope for a better future.

He approaches sound from every angle, skillfully manipulating the existing sounds in the world. Growing up in a musical family and also having a background as a trumpeter, he has steadily made his presence felt in the Tokyo scene. His unique sensibility, honed over time, has been described as unconsciously Balearic by music producer Yuki Kawamura, captivating audiences with his one-of-a-kind world view. From house music to techno, he seamlessly blends a wide range of sounds in a single DJ set, unfolding an original story.
At the end of 2020, he achieved remarkable success with Crew Laboratory, a fusion of skateboarding and music, held at Womb Tokyo, gaining recognition as an organizer. With Débris in Daikanyama as his home base, he has performed at various clubs and bars in Tokyo, and in 2021, he expanded his reach to the Kansai region. Additionally, his international community ensures that the dance floor is always filled with a diverse mix of people from around the world.

Bangalore's @twokid-wickid are slowly but surely turning Garden City house and techno heads onto newer sounds (a long time coming that's for sure). Today, they make their debut on the BHA Podcast with a variety of music. Starting out slow with a detuned Pender Street Steppers jam and moving onto Darkside, the mix soon finds its sweet spot midway making nods to Move D and more, leaning a little bit into the past and a little into the future.
