Frosty Morning

This is from the final movement of my three part "Showers" set for piano and cello. The full piece has not been recorded with cello yet but here's the piano part.

An improvisation on a patch I built today in Max 7. Played through my lovely XKey 37 MIDI controller.

Thinking about some Steven Wilson chord progressions with a bit of "Moving Pictures" in there.

"Bean Salad" Just Sounds Bad from the Start

Here's a practice track I made using FL Studio and Max. It uses a technique I'm developing for creating soundscapes using 12-tone rows. The distance in half steps from one note to the next in the tone row is converted into 32nd notes by the sequencer so each note has its own unique duration. Play it back fast enough and you get a creepy, unnerving element to use as part of another composition.
