As the crisp bite of fall approaches, Allergy Season returns once again. For our 10th release we present the second EP from everyones favorite sculptor of deep hypnotic beats, Beta Librae. In "Subspecies", Beta Librae presents several studies in dub-wise dance floor doing. With five narcotic tracks of looping house, techno and dub, "Subspecies" is an essential tonic for tuned-in DJs from warm up to closing.

Darker days are coming. BAR02 (@Bar-Rotterdam) is a haunting and slightly dramatic winter-proof ep. Zombies in Miami from Mexico created 2 tracks that would fit in a scary eighties movie. Haunted Strasse being the one that builds up, Mirrors representing the Climax. On the other side our friends and local Dutch boys @Pin-Up-Club create an 'out of your comfort zone' epic club track which very accurately defines the word drama.

Each individual was under surveillance and would be for a long time to come, it had been their own choice, their own decision and the prize at the end of the experiment would act as their reward. In the meantime they were simply a human pattern, a pathological test by which science would hope to benefit in the long run. Inside the lab a group of observers watched on with promise and intrigue, who would fold first?

Swiss house guru Ripperton is a gem from the underground electronic community who has been carving his own sonic path for over two decades now. He steps up to remix 
a stunning instant classic “It Does Not Matter How You Are” by Roberto Di Gioia, a musical mastermind behind Marsmobil. Ripperton’s instrumental interpretation of the original impresses upon listeners a spellbinding journey with a sonic magnetism and delicate melancholy. Evocative moods are drawn in by a masterfully crafted intricate arrangements and enthralling synth line that is infused with an hypnotism injected rhythms and endless beautiful melodies.

Since early 2017, Pete Cunningham, who you may better know as Ishmael, has been cultivating an extremely impressive project. Debuting as a troupe on "Songs for Knotty", Ishmael Ensemble have since gone on to release three records. Two in 2018 and one forthcoming in January of 2019, all of them on Cunningham's Severn Songs imprint, named after the river itself. The Bristol-based outfit has been praised by the likes of Dan Snaith aka Caribou, Tom Ravenscroft, The Vinyl Factory, Gilles Peterson and also recently performed for the latter's UK Jazz Special on BBC 6 Music.

The third and concluding release on Severn Songs, aptly titled "The River", will be the final chapter in the series. Collaborating with jazz trumpeter Yazz Ahmed on the release, the two songs are a fitting tribute to the impressive river. Keyboardist Jake Spurgeon, who has featured on all Severn Songs releases to date, recorded sounds from another famous river, the Ganges. They feature prominently in the background of the impressive release, perfectly setting the mood as the percussion and keys slowly escalate and then ebb to give room for Ahmed's haunting trumpet to take centre stage. As the drums increase in intensity and the percussion billows, whirling trumpet trills and swelling synths take us into the climax before receding into the background and the gentle sounds of the river lapping end our journey just as it started.

Capping off an impressive 2018 with the announcement of "The River" and the reprise on the flip, an equally tense yet gentler take on the original, we're looking forward to what 2019 brings. Be sure to catch Ishmael Ensemble live as they continue to tour and keep your ear to the ground as there's a rumoured album on the horizon, too.

Exclusive Filburt 'Unnoticed Love (Charles Webster Remix)'

Based in Germany's pulsating creative city Steffen Friedrich, better known as DJ Filburt, implemented aspiring label O*RS alongside Florian Seidel in 2011. Ever since its start the label has given home to rising and prestigious artists such as Braunbeck, Yannick Labbé and of course to his own productions. With the start of 2019 O*RS kicks of the year with an EP from the co-founder himself, 'Unnoticed Love', that comes with two original tracks and a remix from legendary UK producer Charles Webster for the EP's title track. The House Music-veteran twists the original into a dark and vibrating piece of music that smoothly implements the robotic vocals to emphasize the track's message, namely that of an 'unnoticed love'. Raw soundscapes and a lush yet dull bass line encounter the robotic voice leave it in the dark even though it is seeing the light of day at this exact moment and combine both the unnoticed momentum of the track's message and the urge to express it at the same time. With Charles' remix treatment the producer accomplishes the consolidation of a futuristic approach in a classical House track that has not been heard before.
