The seed of this song came to me whilst deep in dance at a sacred gathering in Australia. 
Words took shape as the images passed through my mind.

A poem. A prayer.

I saw the ice and the snow. The grey stones, white trees and the black soil of my roots. It was a gift, a medicine song to honour the passage between the worlds.


Birch Language

Biarka hails from the lush forests of  Sweden where she found her voice exploring in the woods  as a child and into her teens. 

Evolving her voice and musical repertoar through the folk music scene at local cultural events her voice soon resonated through the ears of a warm and receptive audience.

Clearly having been also influenced by the progression of the dance and electronica movement scene throughout the nineties and early 2000’s Biarka  was buiding her sound pallet and tastes which were then to flavour her future offerings.

She is now based in the hills behind Byron Bay Australia, in the shadow of the sacred  mountain Wollumbin.

Mythiological elements emenate through her crisp timber voice as she takes you on a journey through the ancient past.

In her first solo production ”Birch language” Biarka fuses ritual mantra, Norse mythology, intricate and melodic electronica with sub base soundscapes.            						

Her vocals build a harmonic bridge between plant medicine messages, timelessness and music that will take you on a deep journey and move you on many levels.
