Originally released in November 2021, Guy Gerber and Albertina’s ‘Bocat’ saw support on BBC Radio 1 from Pete Tong and Danny Howard, with the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Ame and many more spinning the record in clubs all over.

Now recruiting Michael Bibi for a hard-hitting club remix, the Solid Grooves founder track delivers a new lease of life to the original. Bringing his signature production style to Rumors, Bibi adds twisted vocal chops amongst spacious percussion, deep acid lines, and pounding kicks.

Founded in 2014, Guy Gerber’s Rumors has played host to Dixon, Seth Troxler, P Diddy, and beyond, amassing a vast fanbase since the early clandestine beach parties on the White Island.

Releasing music for nearly a decade, recent months have seen Gould make waves with releases on labels such as Lost Records, Lapsus and Snatch! whilst picking up support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Riva Starr and Supernova. The rising British talent now joins the Solid Grooves roster, appearing next to producers such as Wade, Dennis Cruz, David Pher, not to mention label founders PAWSA and Michael Bibi.

‘I’m Feelin’ Good Right Now’ is percussive and intricate from the off, meandering forward using infectious drums before introducing a spoken word sample and a cacophony of rhythmic elements. ‘All About Good Times’ then brings in a rumbling bassline and suspenseful soaring synths whilst piercing vocal cries erupt sporadically throughout the mix.

Solid Grooves has built a strong following of loyal fans over the years. Starting out as an event series, the London based brand has since achieved global success including a prevalent Ibiza residency last year. Launching as a label in 2015, it wasn’t long before Solid Grooves Records topped Beatport’s overall charts with Wade’s remix of Dennis Cruz ‘See Line’ and cemented its reputation as an infallible imprint, releasing music from names such as Kuo Climax, ONNO, David Pher and Brett Gould.

Dennis Cruz leads the way with ‘Fake’, a vocal focused track with throbbing bass, chopped up samples and infectious percussive components before Franz Costa’s ‘Kate’ blends a medley of intricate rhythmic elements for a trippy low-slung production.

The label co-founders are up next, with Michael Bibi unleashing a roaring low-end in ‘Devil’s Candy’ whilst a spoken word sample operates through, making way for PAWSA’s ‘Taking Over’ – an atmospheric house track geared for powerful subs featuring dub inspired stabs and sharp hats. Reelow then concludes the package, demonstrating his signature style with a cacophony of percussion and mesmerizing effects.
