Antoine is a song about settling down with somebody very average out of fear of being alone. 
Musically it is reminiscent of the 80's New wave band The Cars, as well as mid-noughties indie rock outfit Wolf Parade. 
The central character in the song is a woman in her late twenties. She has had a slew of subpar ex-boyfriends and just wants to settle down with a nice man. Antoine ticks all the boxes, but only just. He opens doors but splits uber bills. He treats her respectfully, but brings nothing to the table. 5 years ago she wouldn't have touched Antoine with a 10 foot pole. Now she's decided to cut her losses and tie the knot with him.
