Blending gorgeous house grooves and sweet melodies is our new mix by @cryscrosss. @orokoradio and @thelotradio resident, we're super excited to welcome back @cryscrosss to play at Papi Juice this Saturday, April 13. 

In her own words: "This mix oscillates between euphoria and utter chaos, captured through lush melodies juxtaposed with gritty bass. It reflects a current dilemma in many of our lives: maintaining a balance between the positive and negative while holding onto hope during challenging times. I hope this mix brings you as much joy as it brings me. Happy Aries season, and FREE Palestine!"

Multi-media artist, image maker, and DJ cry$cross (@cryscrosss) is a true artist embodying the breadth and depth of New York City’s DJ culture. Their music takes you to a familiar yet alien place, sonically traversing time and space. Their work explores their journey to reconnect with their native African roots and find ways to intertwine the cultures they grew up between. Through this, they create an entirely new world, encouraging others to do the same.

Being from New York herself, cry$cross is no stranger to the city’s musical history and cultural influences. She combines a vivid, nostalgic picture by fusing gritty NY club with techno and electronic music to create a new contemporary sound. Her sets are masterful in their execution—living confidently within the boundaries between genres to create an infectious sound that has captivated dance floors nationwide. cry$cross aims to uphold a legacy to honor the many artists that precede her. She aspires to evoke an outer-worldly experience on the dancefloor as she pilots the spaceship to take the crowd to new heights.

Bapari (aka Arielle Baptiste) is a Haitian-American musician, producer and DJ. Bapari DJs the monthly show Puffy on NTS radio and has most recently done releases with Los Angeles-based labels Popcan Records and Mollyhouse Records. In addition to producing for a number of recording artists, Bapari is set to release their debut solo EP this spring. They've headlined Boiler Room LA, played Melting Point & Papi Juice in New York, among countless parties across the USA, and last year served as the tour DJ for Steve Lacy.
