Up above soft, fluffy clouds danced on the skyline, passing slowly in all manner of shapes and sizes. Since she could remember she'd always imagined what it would be like to live up there, to float freely between the earth and the sun without a care in the world. If it could be a reality, she'd have no desire to come back down to solid ground, her mind and her body belonged in the clouds, where her imagination could run wild.

Having cemented her reputation as a DJ and party thrower, NYC-based producer Tony Y Not is now making waves with her productions. Over the last few years she's taken her synth-driven electro disco creations to the likes of Trampoliner, Ombra International, Critical Monday and Me Me Me, the latter of which is the home of her new EP, Send Me Up. Made up of two originals and two remixes - including the first ever from Val Budino and Ivan Berko, and another from label mate Ian Blevins - the music is a blend of cosmic synths, acid-tinged disco and euphoric melodies. 

Speaking about the release, Tony Y Not explains: "I wrote this music when the pandemic first started. Everything was up in the air for all of us and the only grounding thing to do is pour my emotions into my music. And here it is! I felt inspired by the stillness in Berlin at that time in the first lockdown. Nothing was moving and it gave an insight into how much was actually happening while everything was standing still.”

Duro is pleased to present "Muy Divas," a compilation curated by international Mexican tastemaker Mystery Affair. Celebrating diversity and freedom, this 8 track glorious journey includes music by the talented bandolera Villaseñor, the chilean and Madrid based Fernanda Arrau, the french Mala Ika, the duo Brolorizo, Argentina's InVertida, the Mexican SÜSS, and the mighty and unique Hard Ton & Urvin June ft. Lilly Escuelita.

The collection of stompers begins with the visionary and groovy Villaseñor's "Emergency Loop." This bouncy and trance-inducing track will transport you to a rhythmic Valhalla. Did anyone mention ecstasy? Next, Fernanda Arrau takes us on a jubilant quest with "Calypso," a Caribbean infused booter that invites you to test your nicest footwork to the rhythm of a pounding Bassline.

Mala Ika amazed us with "Yumis Kopfstoß," a dynamic and turbine geared trance driver, featuring an electrifying bassline and sparkling melodies that twinkle like bulbs in the ceiling. On the other hand, Brolorizo slows down the tempo with "Leave Me Alone," a lush and playful track with a solid bassline and haunting chords that intertwine with delicate vocals, enveloping you in a soft silk you can't escape from.

InVertida takes control with "Retorno," a cyclic, minimalist, and mind-bending track. With its rumbling bassline and breezy synthesizers, this one gets inside your body without warning. From Guadalajara, SÜSS delivers a proper acid techno track with "The Sky Belongs To Everyone," where distorted beats and magnetic tones create an atmosphere that sends you straight to the asylum. Next, Hard Ton & Urvin June ft. Lilly Escuelita pleases us with an instant classic, "Operating Worldwide," a house track with introspective, deep, and sophisticated sounds.

To land off the compilation, we have "Trippy Candy" by pack leader Mystery Affair. It is a percussive, slightly dark recording featuring melting noises and classic stab house elements. "Muy Divas Vol. 1" will be available starting from June 30th on all digital platforms.

The EP FACE II is a continuation of the Faces EP series, of which the first EP was released in october 2022. The basis here is also a literary fixpoint with KAFKAS VERWANDLUNG. the examination of the urban modern man has its origin in the album JAHRE and is now explored in more detail here. What happens to us in a time of digital transparency as a glass human of the city and night. It starts with THE VOID, which was originally intended as a poem about being lost. We go out into the night, some to search, some to forget and some to never come back as the same again. On our journey we often take substances that we expect to make this journey easier and faster. the escape from ourselves and from our relationships to the environment and humans can‘t just be skipped. a fast way is always a dangerous way and often leads to an even bigger EMPTINESS.
In THE GHOST something appears to us late at night, it is like a shadow of the previous hours, something that has followed us on the streets and accompanied us undiscovered until we reached our home. We wake up and at first it is unclear whether we are dreaming. In half-sleep the dimensions blur together and the whole polyvalence of the different existences gapes open. We blink into the DARKNESS and try to recognize something, the light remains far away and yet we hear this piercing sound, which in the end leaves us only with ourselves. we are the spirit of the night, trapped on an old tape in the chest of nothing.
The next section THE MOON shows us the light in the darkness. The shadows and ghosts give way for a moment and the light flows through our veins and molecules.
The poem describes our unspoken longing to follow the light, in the light our fears disappear and everything blurs into an unknown familiarity. We stagger back and forget the encounters with our inner DAWN. In the light the ghosts disappear like childhood memories left behind.
The last chapter is written by THE DAWN, a stanza from the poem of the same name as a spoken reconciliation with the world. In spite of everything, we seek harmony and connectedness. No one wants to become an exile, even if we can‘t always bring it about ourselves. We love LIFE and we hear and feel everything around us, if we let ourselves ...

Frankie Ferrara returns to David Morales’ DIRIDIM imprint with Roy Zone, a bright, breezy house cut built for sunlit moments. 
Anchored by a wandering bassline and lifted by a chime-driven lead, the track strikes a balance between warmth and playfulness, offering character without excess. Sun-drenched music for sunny people.
Based in Capua, Italy, Frankie “The Ram” Ferrara first fell in love with house in the mid-90s, spending nights locked into the radio before witnessing Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Tony Humphries, and Louie Vega behind the decks. Those formative experiences shaped a lifelong connection with the music, leading him deep into underground clubs across Italy and beyond, where he absorbed the artistry of both Italian and international DJs. 
By 2019 he had stepped into production, adding a new dimension to his career as a DJ and quickly finding homes on respected labels including Nervous Records, King Street Sounds, and DIRIDIM.
Ferrara describes himself as a “360° music lover,” with a vision of house that stretches across moods and styles. With Roy Zone, he channels that ethos into something direct and joyful, a track that reflects the roots of his journey while looking firmly ahead.

Blanco’s Valkea Music kicks off 2019 with a statement release that showcases “seven songs, seven stories, seven colours”. Across the fantastic tracks, the likes of Thc, Gianmaria Coccoluto & Luca Vera aka Soul Sonic, Amarcord, Wayne Works and more all contribute their wares.
The label kicked off in 2018 with a limited-edition white vinyl EP from Benny Blanco and set out on its mission to release a wide variety of electronic music with some key remixes also included. It was supported by the likes of Agents of Time, Nick Warren, Trikk, Luca Agnelli and Petar Dundov, and now the label broadens its remit once again with this vital seven track compilation.
Up first is Thc from labels like Three Hands and Chapter 24 with the enchanting and exotic ‘Mille e Una Notte.’ It’s a mysterious house cut with all manner of strange percussion and synths drawing you in. Levo then keeps up the diverse cultural influences with an uplifting, melodic bit of house featuring more authentic middle eastern sounding instrumentals. Next up is Pakkio Sans, an established name in the house world who has released on King Street Sounds and Global Underground. His ‘I Need you’ is a forlorn, emotionally wrought track with pained vocal stretched over sombre beats. A whole host of names including the label boss then link for ’Deep Ethnic’, a scintillating cut with widescreen synths.
My Favorite Robot and Aeon associate Amarcord then mixes up cosmic disco and house music with stepping chord work for his majestic ’Colazione A Mezzogiorno’ and Wayne Works really works you into a lather over eight minutes of acid laced, jacked up and percussive house that is restless and infectious. Last of all, label artists Gianmaria Coccoluto & Luca Vera aka Soul Sonic offer the driving house of ‘Lillo’ with its rubbery bass and spaced out Chicago vibes.
This fantastic package covers plenty of house styles, all with real authenticity and invention.
