Penned by Paul Mc Grannate on his first return to our old studio house where new owners had moved in. We had recorded there for many years and it was like a punch in the gut to Paul as he came to the realization that our times together had become the past. When we re-established our friendship I took his words, recorded the music and sang this mournful memoir. M.H. Berry added some heart felt lead guitar. It was a fitting goodbye to our old home.

Tale of lock down at Tim Horton's behind a wall of glass with masks on and attempting to get the washroom key. I see the words Boston Cream come across the till.  So I said washroom key not Boston Cream! So I went for the Boston Cream anyways but karma then took hold when my Uncle Harvey's car bottomed out on a metal construction plate. When we heard the sound Harvey said I wonder what that is? I replied "it's a part of the car".

Vocal is dedicated to my Dad who was the biggest Louis Armstrong fan I ever knew. Walk with the great spirits Ron! Penned by Paul McGrannate originally for the Security 50 album about the lockdown ritual at 7pm. every night. Every one trapped inside would go to their windows or balconies and bang pots or blow horns to release the tension.

SECURITY were a recording act from Vancouver, Canada.

Founded in 1988 by Keyboardists/Vocalists Dan Druff and Paul McGrannate, the project was initially meant to do little more than kill time while working 12-hour shifts as security guards in a commercial Truckyard.

However, a musical kinship developed between the two, and the project quickly gained momentum, as both writers began to churn out song after song.

Eventually, the project evolved to the point where better recording facilities were needed to properly produce the rapidly progressing material.

From 1989 to 1991, SECURITY would alternate between Treetops Studio in North Vancouver
and Cherrywood Studios in Burnaby.
Cherrywood Studios would ultimately become the recording base from where SECURITY would produce their magic.

Various members & guest musicians would come & go through time, all adding to SECURITY's rich catalog of music.

This channel is a chronological record of the songs & the stories that was SECURITY.
