Long before Steve Bug and Fex were introduced to each other in Paris, one of Fex's releases on Serial (serial25) had already found a home in Bug’s record case. After releases on labels like Serial Records, Kailash, Nekko, Visitor, Big Chief, Brique Rouge and Hypnotik, French DJ and producer DJ FEX aka Frank Xavier dropped his debut single Mysterious Conversation on Dessous, accompanied by two additional remixes.

Starting with rattling drums, the original mix was a kicking house track with a pushing bassline and a magic synth accent. Whispering vocals carried on a conversation, adding a mysterious atmosphere to the multilayered yet straightforward track.

Moon Harbour’s Matthias Tanzmann and Daniel Stefanik contributed a cinematic remix with deep house strings and bubbling basslines for A1. The one and only Mazi Namvar (aka Mazi, Audio Soul Project, MFO, Mise en Place, Right Side Reverse) from Chicago, seen as one of the re-inventors of modern house music, added a punchy remix with amazing sounds and patterns on B2.

Mysterious Conversation stood out as a strong house record, boasting two superb remixes and staying in many record cases for a long time.
