Written about an off-the-cuff comment that was made to me and I wrote an entire song around it!
I love the sound of Dave Guild's solo guitar on this song.

Two Years Down The Line

This was a track I done in conjunction with the youth oriented community group NACN based in Newtownabbey. Zoe is one of the young talented singers involved with this group that inspires young people to develop skills within the arts industry.

John Crook's album "VICTIMS OF FATE" was released in 2012. All the songs were written by John except SEASHELLS (co-written with Dave Guild). Dave provided the backing track, John added the lyrics and vocal line. Dave also produced the album. All tracks were arranged by John and Dave.

John has recorded two previous albums "THE FULL STORY" (1998) and "WEAR THE FOX HAT". Five tracks from "WEAR THE FOX HAT". which was released in 2000, are featured on here. The track, "TUG OF WAR" was co-written with Neil Turner, who plays lead guitar on both albums.

John's band 'CROOK', won Stirling's best unsigned band award in 1998, the competition was organised by The Observer newspaper and The Virgin Store. 
John and Neil have also supported Ricky Ross from Deacon Blue when he played at Cornton Vale Prison in Stirling 1998.
