First ever DJs playing the Sonic Sphere! Read on :)

Attending my first ever Burning Man-like event "Love Burn" here in Miami, I was contributing my Pioneer DJ setup for a camp I was joining "The Village" -- we didn't get the sound setup on Wednesday night, and a new friend I'd made that day, Bruno, texted me and mentioned if I bring my gear to Sonic Sphere we'd be able to play until 5AM and coincidentally be the first DJs to perform there. 

We only got in a warmup of two hours (having literally never heard each other's music before *at all*) before we were shut down by the decibel police, but I recorded the set and we jived well, playing from a DJ booth made literally that afternoon. 

Forgive some of the off mixes -- neither of us are Master Sync button users and at times the decks were a little bouncy when suspended on a platform 100 or so feet in the air surrounded by people dancing like mad on the netting :)

I had a phenomenal time at my first Love Burn in Miami last week and absolutely thrilled that the highlight of my week playing at 2 hour Bass House & Tech House set at The Freakeasy's Kitty Kat Island on Friday night was recorded!  What an amazing feeling to rock a packed dancefloor full of my Bay Area crew and new fans from far and wide under a giant geometric cat with freakin' laser beams shooting out of its mouth!  Hope you can feel the HEAT (both literally and figuratively) when listening to this mix. Thanks to Radiohiro for having me play and for building such an awesome production. The loss of my musical brother Chuck Morris and his son Charley has been absolutely heartbreaking. We spent over two decades traveling the world together playing music. I was there when Chuck and Jenny brought the newly-born Charley home from the hospital. Chuck was probably the most unique person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He always did things in his own one-of-a-kind way. I'm processing this enormous loss in the only way I know how, by making music. This mix reflects some of the tip of the iceberg that was Chuck's joyous personality - smooth, quirky, driving, enigmatic, beautiful.
