'Cognac' is a five-track EP on the SVOBODA imprint which pulls out the best of Minimal/Deep Tech moods, featuring two originals delivered by Futura together with Farid Odilbekov, as well as three remixes that follow the main tracks. The title track provides deep tribalistic, ambient house methods through the mix, bringing an Indian vibe to the speakers. Matpri takes it to a new level by completely reshuffling the original track. The result is a marvellous deep-house feet-shaker. Ilya Dubrovin Remix fulfils the palette with his interpretation of the main cut. '2' is the title of the second track within this ep, serving up a slick tune full of rolling deep vibes laced with squelchy chords, pumping bassline, and infectious percussive rhythms than rounded off by remix from Truvor.

Originally released in 2009, this standout remix package followed the release of Steve Bug’s fourth full artist album, Collaboratory, which dropped earlier that year to widespread acclaim. The album captured Steve’s dedication to forward-thinking house music, teaming up with a stellar cast of collaborators including Gigi, Donnacha Costello, and Simon Flower.
Collaboratory Remixes Vol.1 brought fresh interpretations from Ribn, Motor City Drum Ensemble, and Sven Tasnadi, and still holds up today.

Ribn (aka Manuel Tur and Langenberg) deliver a deep, dubby, Detroit-tinged take on “Like It Should Be” featuring Gigi. Their Translucent Vox Remix builds with patience, drawing you in with a long, atmospheric intro before locking into a driving, bass-led groove that honors Gigi’s sultry vocals.

Motor City Drum Ensemble brings the heat with a raw house twist on “Still Music,” the Bug and Costello collaboration. Loaded with late 80s and early 90s drum machine attitude and bubbling keys, it’s an acid-tinged workout that still burns.
Sven Tasnadi rounds things out with a tight, tracky remix of “Passing Clouds” (Bug and Simon Flower), fusing melancholic synth lines with solid drums and a modern tech-house edge.
