I’m extremely excited to announce Swiss artist DomDom as guest wizz with a very special podcast, by far the deepest ever on my channel.
As I already explained in the description of Witchtape #07, the first hearing of a guest mix is always a particularly intense experience for me.  This time I listened to the podcast while simultaneously chatting with the artist.  So I could give live feedback and share my thoughts track by track.  The first thing I told him was that I wasn’t exactly overwhelmed by the first track (which did disappoint the DJ a bit), but slowly the mix grabbed me by the neck, dragging me deeper and deeper and especially the second part really left me in a state of pure ecstasy… while I made a mystic inner voyage through the Middle East and Andalusia and some other faraway places I couldn’t pinpoint exactly.  And it was only at the end that I realized that the first track was also crucial for the storyline, to create the right mood for the rest.  This is clearly one of these podcasts which need to be listened to in one go.  Only then you’ll be able to capture the whole story.
Anyway, after that I became so fascinated by this mix that I listened to it again.  And again and again (as channel owner I always have a head start over the rest of the world).  And the amazing thing was that each and every time the experience seemed to go deeper than the previous time.  It was as if I was walking in circles through this mystic soundscape, yet each time I discovered something new.
Amazing.
