To the moon and back

A long-overdue descent into the shadows, this deep, dark electronic downtempo journey is a sonic tapestry woven for the matured listener who finds comfort in the slow burn of melancholy and the pulse of the underground. Alternative in essence, yet grounded in a haunting melodic techno framework, each track unfolds like a secret whispered in smoke—brooding, beautiful, and immersive. It’s music for the late hours, for those who crave depth over drop, mood over mayhem—a release finally surfacing to echo the darkness within and the calm that follows.

Upside Down

As the sun sets and the sky shifts from warm orange to deep blue, the vibe at the festival starts to change. This is the perfect moment for melodic techno to take over—deep, driving beats mixed with emotional melodies that bring everyone into the same groove. The crowd, full of like-minded people who love the journey of sound, starts to move together as the music builds. It’s not about big drops or fast tempo; it’s about the flow, the connection, and letting the music guide us into the night. The lights come on, the stars appear, and suddenly we’re all in it—together, riding that perfect transition from day to night.

I recorded this live set during the night between June 28th and 29th at the Sanctuary in Milan.
Unlike last year’s live set, this time I chose to build it with plenty of space for change and improvisation, so it could adapt to each context and stay flexible in structure.
Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit constrained by sticking to a single genre and fixed BPMs, so I wanted to give myself the freedom to explore different directions and follow more spontaneous impulses.
All the tracks were composed specifically for live set. I’ve also included two pieces from the set I created with Laaar (which we performed for the first time this June at La Nature Festival in Belgium).

Mirzay / downtempo, baby / # 76

I had such an amazing time this year at Chateau Perché during our Crépite. showcase. 

It is always really a pleasure and honour to play in France. 
I love how the crowd is living, interactive and joyful. Especially this time I was surrounded by many old friends and new friends. 
It was a blast <3  

This is a festival set for a night slot, with a rather high energy and mostly above 115bpm. The first part is softer and showcases some of our Crépite. catalog and the second hour goes a bit wilder. As in most of my sets, there are overall a lot of subgenres represented in this mix and I am so glad that this type of set received such a positive reaction <3

Even the 5 minutes sound cut right in the middle of my set didn't kill the vibe. Everyone stayed and it was even more boiling when it started again. 
Even the unexpected twist turned out to be a fun moment :) 


The stage by Reve General & Das Anwesend was so beautiful! 
Thank you so much for creating such a perfect place to share our music. 

Big thanks also goes to Chateau Perche orga for a really nice production and especially to Enrico !

Bristol-based producer fka @boursin joins the fold at NYC-based imprint @scissorandthread with a forthcoming 12" single named 'Listless Intertext', accompanied with an exquisite dub flex from label bosses Frank & Tony.

The original is a 12-minute drift through hazy deep house textures, half-caught conversations, dreamy synths and shuffling percussion. Instead of clear vocals, we get indecipherable fragments that lend the track a woozy, dream-state quality - like trying to decipher a distant conversation while slipping out of consciousness. It’s deep and loose, a slow-burner that feels just as suited to headphones as it does a smoky backroom.

Frank & Tony’s Housebeat Dub flips that energy on its head. The duo keep the mood intact but drive it forward with a fat, rolling groove tailor-made for those blurry hours on the dancefloor. Where boursin pulls you inward, Frank & Tony push it outward - a hypnotic, floor-ready workout that still carries the ghostly essence of the original.
