I wrote this song in 2015 while living In Papua New Guinea. I grew up being told Australia was the "Lucky Country" but as I watched news bulletins via Australian television, I always seemed to see forlorn people standing in front of the ruins of their homes after a bushfire, or a cyclone, or a flood. And there were the property owners trying to cope with the emotions of animal losses and destocking because of the severe droughts. And most times these stoic people who had basically lost everyone they possessed shrugged into the camera and said they would have to Start All Over Again.
